Good old Lava Riva estate, Maureen is right, good in the snow and robust. Russians were coming over in the 90s to buy them off the British and take them back to Russia.

I was about 9-10 years old when this first aired on Channel 4. I used to beg my mum and dad to let me stay up late on a Friday night to watch this and Beavis and Butthead. Good times!

Adam + Joe devotees - I’m a dedicated listener of the Elis and John XFM Podcast and they’re big A+J fans, I also like Adam’s podcast and I’m convinced I’ll love A+J. Is there anything in particular I should start with? Do I just go straight into the podcasts from the start?
@sapphire74242 ай бұрын
The A&J Show is very different to the podcast. If you like soft toys doing naughty things, dad being posh and 2 young blokes being silly then this is the show for you. Adams podcast is amusing is a grown up kid kind of way. My advice would be start with the TV series like the rest of us did. S1 is epic.

Haha! I used to love the Star Wars bits in these. Brings back fond memories of Friday night in my early twenties, living alone for the first time. That Spaced was also on Friday nights in the late 90s/early 2000s was even better! I can still remember the lyrics to the Star Trek song they did. So nostalgic seeing stuff from this era, back when the Internet was in its relative infancy and TV was much more relevant that it is now.

Staaaaar Trek, The Next Generation, beloved through every nation, it is my favourite show, I've seen every episode... Jean Luc Picard is stern but hard, he has to be cause he's in chaaaaarge!! (from memory, apologies for any misremembered lyrics there) - I used to sing that all the time in my early 20s! Need to go listen to The Firm - Star Trekkin right after... I think my all-time favourite Adam & Joe song is probably Bobby DeNiro though!!

Was it actually called "three point turn" in those days? Because when I was learning in 2004 my instructor explicitly told me "this is turn-in-the-road and it is NOT a three point turn". You made as many turns as required so long as you didn't hit anything. And these days you're not allowed to film an actual test.
@mattwebb6056 Жыл бұрын
I had the same in 2006 when I went for my test - turn in the road.
@Buddingrose5 ай бұрын
We called it both back then. Turning in the road or 3 point turn. We knew both meant the same because I was taking driving lessons while this was being aired.

People earned less back then, so not really. In 2004 my instructor was £20/hour, although you got a discounted rate of £18/h if you pre-paid for a block of ten lessons.

"It is mindless to announce that your head has almost been shaved by a Jumbo Jet; and as a consequence you're feeling a bit heavy metal. The whole amusement as far as he is concerned, is that it is very daring to come near to being decapitated by a Jumbo Jet, which is flying where it ought not to be!" As a Blur fan, I find this brilliant lol. Love you Bad Dad RIP. You're greatly missed, but you still live on through the talents of your son, keeping us all entertained XXX

incorrect, the advert sampled the sample that the verve stole which was an instrumental version of a rolling stones tune.
