Guys the explanation of this video is wrong, the rally driver has to go after the jump on the left, by turning left, so he was fast and he forgot the turn so he continue straight. where people are packing to watch the rally the curve of the rally not the jump :)

evos nosedive to the right naturally in mid air because the engine is mounted to the front right. it has nothing to do with reactions and everything to do with an unbalanced chassis. the only reason evos are quick in corners is because of their torque vectoring. watch a subie jump and they fly flat because the engine is low and symmetrical and the weight distribution is 50/50 left/right

+piedpiper well actually the engine is more or less centered, plus the flywheel, and entire transmission are on the far left side (right above the left suspension arms) giving the left a considerable weight advantage. I'd guess the left went down first because of either an imperfection in the road or the momentum created by the driver quickly throwing the wheel to the left side (transfer of energy by steering components rapidly shifting right).

i understand the wheel turning but how did the car turn slightly mid air? if the car has not turned mid air then he probably saw the black car earlier and positioned his car in the right angle.

Its not a celica and celicas are probably one the most reliable rally car and definitely more than an evo. If you were ever at a rally you would know that a car goes out in front and checks the track at a normal speed. There are also sercurity that make sure the viewers are not in dangerous positions. This is probably not a rally event and if it is then someone is not doing there job.
