Dude! Thanks for putting this up. Based on what you were saying, I had to check out your Inktober flip-through. It was scary, it was good, and it was scary good. Bookmarked both flip-throughs. Here in 2024, unfortunately we have lost the Grandmaster, but he lives on through his work. We can be grateful that he was so prolific and will always be an inspiration to work hard at our craft. One video, he showed a monster callus on the finger where his pen and brush rested....

Thanks Ellis your video help me a lot. I did not recognize that the Lyra graphite 9B would be that dark and I been using as the background and using my electric eraser to produce clouds but this made the sky really dark and some cases that was good but sometime not so much. I am going to try using the 2B to see if that lightens up the sky some. Thanks again for your information.
@EllisRicketts Жыл бұрын
Im glad to hear it yo. Yes try a 2B it will be lighter, even a regular HB. 9B is super dark. and 9B is kinda hard to erase away Aswell.

One thing I admired about jung gi was how he could work on section of the paper and need no reworking or adding details drawing the items perfectly in the first place it instantly difficult to have a perfect balance image in your head the execute with speed and accuracy ,time dedicated efficient looking he said he had 60% of his mural plans out he had a huge mental inventory to plug the gaps ...sadly missed
@EllisRicketts2 жыл бұрын
True. That was Awesome how he could do all that. One thing I learned from him was how to be able to draw technical things from Memory. The more u draw something the more it sticks in your head. I tested it out on army tanks. I drew a bunch of army tanks at least 9 times. Never needed reference to draw one ever again.

@@EllisRicketts what do you mean ? Did you mean you used a grid and drew them and then you could draw them without a grid? Could you do a tutorial on how you practised to be like him? I think it’s because he’s drawn so much he has this ability to draw from memory. I don’t think it’s a trick, I think he’s just out in the work and drew so much he understands all these visuals and memory tricks! Rip legend

I watched another artist favorites video. One of her favorites was the Koh i noor Magic eraser. First off the eraser looks super cool with swirled marble colors in layers, but.....i ordered a 3 pack Immediately when she said it erased dried watercolor!! A random splatter fell on her artwork and since that particular eraser removed everything else she gave it a try and it removed the paint.
