Now a really great twist would be Watson is Jack the ripper who was murdering women looking for his pea 😆 And talking of Leslie Grantham I recommend checking out his sci-fi thriller The Uninvited from ITV 1997 he actually thought up the story and starred as the main villain

Great podcast as always chaps, but your mention of 'Lifeforce' reminded me of an article stating that Tucktonia's model village was used in Tobe Hooper's film for the London landmark chaos near the end!

@@generalwitchfinders Heard the latest Quartermass podcast and nice to hear you mention the Tucktonia/Lifeforce link - used to go on holidays to Bournemouth when a nipper and experienced the delights (?!) of UK's first theme park - now weirdly I live in Tuckton!! You guys have to cover Lifeforce, as prime example of Tobe Hooper in his more manic directorial moods:) I also loved the James Herbert Rats episode, as I grew up on his early stuff, but I think another good book review in a similar vein should be Shaun Hutson's 'Slugs', as that is hilarious !! Keep up the great work, as I thoroughly enjoy listening to a more British take on horror and scifi !!

ahh I had been asking about the poddy training for years but no one would approach the idea. Three cheers for you that you mentioned it. The Frankenstein story will never be completed until someone addresses it with taste, if thats even possible. I always wondered if the creature knew how to take a leak or was potty trained.

What a lot of folks miss in the scene is when the creature pulls off his face bandage, he recognizes Baron Frankenstein and an instant hatred. This I believe shows that some of the brain remembers and it is the old professor who realized what the baron did. Look at the scene and you will see it when Lee looks at him.

Glad to have found your podcast, Interghost gave you a mention and said I'd like your stuff. Looking forward to catching up on a few of these, I'm one of those who likes Xtro, but it's refreshing to hear three guys ripping into it, hehe! I don't see it as a gem or a classic, just a cheesy film which I laughed at a lot. I only saw it for the first time last year, it came out five years before I was born and I kept putting it off because I thought it would be more of a sci-fi film than anything else. Very surprised, not in no rush to see the sequels though!

This book was pretty progressive for its time. It showed homosexuals in a positive light and showed how they were persecuted and hated. It also shows how the civilians of England were abused and mistreated by the government.
