Everything was secure and in good shape. No weird smells. The weight changing mechanism is really smooth and straight forward. Changing weight is really fast and easy. Though the handle is plastic, I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon. So far pretty impressed after my first session with them. I was afraid they were going to be too wide at first, but I didn't have any issues with them while doing upright rows.

Shit doesn't work half the time. Regular dumbbells are much better.

The weights seem to wobble ... I think that would annoy the heck out of me I need them solid.

40lb is to lite. Was hopping it went to 40 kg. Its still a great design.

Is it possible to use lifting straps with the Bowflex dumbbells ? The main issue I think would be that when you need to tightly grip the straps, you rotate the dumbbell, but the Bowflex has uneven weight distribution and always must be held with the red handle at the top. Has anyone tried lifting straps ?

Just bought these. Thanks for the review, they seem pretty legit. Question though. Would these be ok for crossfit style workouts where I’m thrusting and snatching? Obviously not throwing them around or dropping them.

I have trust issues, and I'm worried that the weights will fall off and crush my face for flat presses.

If each side goes up to 52.5 pounds then technically the dumbell can weigh up to 105 pounds can't it ?
