Thanks! Just like the big railways, the little railways are always under pressure and can sadly close. We are very grateful for the visit with our Class 10, and can always re-visit our memories by watching the video. Other closed railways that we have visited: Picnic Field Miniature Railway, Fenn Bell Miniature Railway, Welling + District MES, Glebe land Light Railway (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2TWlWOGn7B6fq8si=uUf697UWJh-94l1g).

@@ocslocomotives430 Shame to see all those gone. I did visit have a look at Picnic Field Miniature Railway when visiting next door. Fenn Bell came and went so quickly I'm impressed with anyone who managed to visit that one. I remember seeing the old Welling MES from a train when passing through Falconwood Station, they've now relocated to Hall Place in Crayford. I don't think I've heard of Glebe Land Light Railway so I'll check out your video.

It certainly is a brilliant railway, even on a rainy day! The SA double header was the highlight of the day, very impressive engines. Thank you for the subscription! Here is a link to a video on my other channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqWxkmCBhrh1hbssi=RrGevtKVBx_s1djJ

Very nice. Where you using steam oil or something else for 'oiling up'?
@ocslocomotives430 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! The oil shown in the video was bearing oil. We put steam oil in the mechanical lubricator, that pumps it into the steam pipe.

have you changed the grate/firedoor ? i'd also like to see a video of your cleaning regime please, Ash, fellow G.G owner
@ocslocomotives430 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Yes the grate assembly is not the original. The SRS one works very well, we just like a deeper fire! Cleaning: Sweep tubes, hoover ash, wash paintwork, wipe over chassis + valve gear, and polish brass. I must admit I spend a lot of time cleaning, and the video would end up being 4 hours long!

Beautiful Locomotive ,Is that 3" scale ?
@ocslocomotives4303 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment, we also agree that it is a beautiful locomotive. This locomotive isn't a scale model, it was designed and built by a company called Station Road Steam. www.stationroadsteam.com/small-locomotives/

@@ocslocomotives430 Many thanks , I am a Member of Chelmsford and i know Mike who is a driver at east herts ,I was only saying to him the other day that i might consider a 7 1/4 NG loco as i like the open cabs making it more easy to drive
@ocslocomotives4303 жыл бұрын
@@GRAHAM1514 Yes we know Mike from East Herts, a brilliant and funny guy (make sure you tell him I said that, I'll get some extra brownie points 😂) Narrow Gauge and Standard gauge both have their pros and cons, as long as it puts a smile of your face at the end of the day because that is all that matters.
