Ive only worked on banshees so not sure what size mains you need for a 250r, but ive use 48 pilot jet in keihin carbs. Having to big of a pilot just could just make it rich and sputter at 1/4 throttle if you dont have enough air to add to it with the air screws. Wouldnt worry to much about that. But if it sputters up top, that means its rich. Just check you plugs and see if its black or brown. You want it to be golden brown

@duneblogger681
@duneblogger681 Жыл бұрын
In this video it was pretty boggy. If yours has a hanging idle. Kinda like what you said, revs up then takes a while to come back to normal idle, it could be your air fuel screw needs to be adjusted (turned in a half turn) see if that helps. Or you could have a slight vacuum leak around your intake gaskets. Hope this helps. Id try the air screws first. A good ball park is 1.5 turns out from being fully seated to 2 turns out.

Ive tried a few brands out there type f seems to shift way better and smoother. Also when the bike sits for a month or so the clutches dont stick together with type f. Its 3.50 a qrts lots of pros to using it only con i have is you change it more often which isnt necessary a bad thing. Use what you think is the best man. My uncle has been using it on that bike since 1995 and i bought from him in 2014 and i still use it and transmission is original so it works great

Well in the video i broke a chain right before and had the case saver on. It works, It keeps the chain from wrapping up and cracking the case . The case was damaged before. Broke a bolt i pretty much explained everything in the video. Its 25$ better than nothing. I would recommend buying a good quality chain 100$ or more and change it out every 3 years or so depending on how much you ride

Well funny story i bought this banshee from my uncle and was told it was a 4 mill he had it built in 1995 and i believed it was a 4 mill because its pretty quick but turns out it its just ported good. After 20 years it finally broke down on me crank bearings were bad. Whiling tearing it apart found 513 pistions in it which are for stock stroke lol. So rebuilt it last year got a few videos on it check them out if you would like.
@00MRROCK00
@00MRROCK00 5 жыл бұрын
Maybe he used 4 mil crank with short rod , in that case no need for 795 pistons .otherwise I don’t think a stock crank will run near to the 4 mil as i see in this vid , or maybe the good porting will gain that much of power ?
@duneblogger681
@duneblogger681 5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do a 4 mill short rod but it was stock crank welded. All matters on pipes, tires, setup and weight, and jetting. I beat lots of people cause i weigh a lot less than them lol. I run 12 paddle 22s. Had a plus 4 in this video Couldn't launch for shit haha

same it was all fine after rebuild 6h later but also temps droped from 35C summer to 20-25C Celius i had it running great (1.5 or 2 turn air screw) no snorkle on air box stock lit no holes and twin air air filter, 22.5 pilot 210 main. ran great till the colder temps it had a horrible bog low end like it falls on its face... so i put the snorkle back on the airbox lit, a bit better then someone said turn air screw at 1 turn and i did that and boom it works again but yeah that means pilot was lean what seems logic i see its 25 not a 22.5 and my carbs are 26/28mm rdlc 31k carbs that are a bit different. anyway i ordered 25 and 27.5 pilot jet waiting for them to come, hope that fixes my issue so i can remove the snorkle and turn air screw at 1.5 or something again cause it does run but it feels like its been hold back.
