Nice work! I had the idea to do something similar with brass wire and it immediately turned into a birds nest! I’ll have to try again.

Ex industrial chemist here. When making our own glassware for lab purposes, we would cut the glass in a similar way and then fire glaze the cut end with a torch. Quick and simple and much less work.

Yes, good idea! Next time I would also use something like that. At that time I just had this little tealight. 👍

very nice. I buy this for a dollar at the dollar store. Saves me a lot of work. But nice to see you made it yourself. How money, time and effort did that cost? Personally i like wasting my time a bit differently.
@00schralfАй бұрын
Thank you! Well, of course it was more effort and time than just buying it. But it was more fun. And I had all the materials available: a piece of scrap wood, an empty nice looking bottle and a few other things. So I just needed to start building it.
@bertjesklotepinoАй бұрын
@@00schralf Sir, you are right and let me apologize. My brain is wired such that i only think of the amount of money, time and effort that went into something like this. And those are important aspects to think about, but i can imagine that the joy of being able to build it yourself (even though it is a very simple idea) is worth a lot. My brain is not wired like that. I can feel fulfillment when i try to make something and finish it. BUT, i also often think: MAN< you could have bought it for a dime.
