Do you think i should get these for my g70 are the performance increase noticeable or anything? Also would you recommend bovs or these intakes first, im mainly wanting turbo noises but if the intakes provide noticeable increases i might get them since they increase the turbo noise, thanks.

injen intakes will give you all the turbo noises you need ( especially the injens). BOVs add a little extra sound but are not necessary.

They are good for what they are. I would use a less aggressive pad next time for DD. Yellows squeak a bit but they stop pretty damn well.

Wht does removing the plugs do!? I’ve seen ppl that remove the plug on GT line and they get a check engine light! I have the same set up as u on my GT1 w/out a tune tho! (Alil broke atm! lol!)

They close off the auxiliary air inlets. Without the plugs, the intake will capture the max air available. More airflow means more power yet some of the air is picked up from inside the engine which is likely warmer air which may decrease performance a wiiiiitle bit. When installed, the plugs will block off any hot engine air entering the housing and make sure the coolest air available is directed into the engine. But they do make the intakes quieter.

I installed the aFe Takeda Cold Air Intake along with HKS plugs, a JB4 tuner and a Mishimoto inter-cooler on my 22 Genesis G70. Or as some call it, a Stinger in a tuxedo. My kit didn't include the clamps to attach the system to the turbos either. I also reused the factory clamps. As they aren't on the pressure side of the turbo, any clamp will work, plus you can't even see them once everything is back in place. I didn't have any issues with the screws that connect the air boxes to the front intake. I inserted that screw first, giving it just a couple of turns to hold it in place. Next I installed the two screws inside the air box. Then did a final tighten of the screws that secure it to the front intakes. Everything went in at once, so I can't say how much power each mod contributed, but with the Map 2 tune (93 octane) the car has definitely come alive. The car's original performance was impressive. Now, there is a nice, but not obnoxious, increase in engine sounds and the power comes on in a way that guarantees an ear-to-ear smile every time you hit the gas!

When you did the BOV did the car need to be tuned after? The car is designed to recylce the air i was wonderjng what happens when you change that and blow the air to the atmosphere.

You didn’t have to add washers between the deck lid and the metal frame to avoid crushing then deck lid with tightening enough to secure the wing? A friend and I are trying to install a g80 wing but he had concerns of crushing the deck lid when we go to tighten the wing on.

It will be noticeably louder in and out of the car. Mostly in sport mode. Everyone's definition of drone is different. I'd say its tolerable for daily driving but then again I switched from a muffler delete and that shit was way loud, lol!

I think they are good performance wise. JT intakes are probably the best but have a long wait time I hear.

2:10 I was missing 2 of those clamps too in my kit for the 2023 g70 3.3t. Did you have any fitment issues with the passenger side one? If you check my videos it shows how im having fitment issues.

@ironhyde_gt Yes that's what I was thinking too. The part that goes right into the snorkel suppose to be flat and not cut out like the one in my video. I installed the rdriver side with ease and it fits. Just the passenger side which is suppose to be the easiest part of the installation is giving me problems. Either wrong intake box was sent to me or their afe manufacturer wasn't paying attention to their blue print.

UPDATE: A month ago, I contacted AFE, and they sent me a new passenger intake box, and it looked exactly like the same, but the opening where it goes over the snorkel was a few mm bigger. The old one was a bit smaller and they are very hard plastic and are not flexible so to force it open into the snorkel, I refuse to do it. AFE made it right and sent me the intake box OVERNIGHT ship. Super amazed by this company. I would definitely buy from them again just cause of the customer service.

bought these for my 2023 Genesis G70, hoping they are a good fit. Do these make any extra noise without the BOV? I mainly got this AFE brand because someone told me they are supposed to be top quality. I really would like to do an aftermarket exhaust to get burbles and backfires (not the ricey sounding crap) but unfortunately there is not a single exhause out there except for ARK which is like $2k and honestly sounds no different than stock lol

For exhaust you have Jun BL, IMR, Kunstwerk HPX, but you're right, w/ the exception of IMR they're expensive as hell. And IMR's sounds stock ish. A secondary dp might throaten up any catback you end up getting though

High boost with conservative pops (91 octane since I'm in CA). Boost is around 21 psi or so.
