To me its the SH-5, SH-14, or the Mustaine set. I'd have to go with 5 or 14 tho because I don't like actives.

Well, my friend bought this one . We checked it for few weeks but we didn't understood what to do with that distortion. 🤷🏻♂️

I just turned 75, so I beat the Broadcaster's birthday by a year. To celebrate I managed to score a signed Seymour Duncan/Joe Bonamassa 1950 Broadcaster LTD. edition set then built a hotrod telecaster, resisting the urge to go 1950 relic on the build: American Modern C neck with truss adjust at the headstock, micro-tilt at the other end, Texas Customs smooth play bridge with six brass barrel saddles, control plate with angled switch, controls with chicklet cap but with four-way switching. All cavities double shielded, first with paint, then polyurethane over that, next copper shielding tape over that with sections soldered, screws through both layers with ground wires running to shielded control cavity then to volume pot. Total overkill but absolutely no hum. Sea green body with antique ivory switch and pickguard complete a '60's vibe. Through my Fender '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb RI it sounds just like the guitars in this video. Well. Except,...you know...Joe ain't playin' it.

@@seymourduncan Even more awesome now that I switched from 9.5's to 11's, figured out Joe's amp settings along with which of those four inputs to use. All of a sudden it became a big boy guitar. I have owned other telecasters but this is the first "TELECASTER!" I have ever owned. Now that guitar absolutely screams. I feel the need to cuss for emphasis, so plug your ears if you don't want to hear it, "With those pickups and things set right, that guitar is F@@CKING Awesome!!!"

So what is the biggest difference tonally between this pick up and the BG1400
@seymourduncan2 күн бұрын
Good question-they have a different construction (stack vs. single-coil sized humbucker), output, and EQ curves. Feel free to compare those product pages to see the differences!

shaking my head, Seymour Duncan, you should have hired a Swedish or nowadays a Finnish guitarist to demo the pickups to their maximum potential, those who know, know exactly what im talking about!

Lari Basilio isn't just a guitarist; she's a musical alchemist, transforming strings into pure emotion. Her fingers dance across the fretboard with the grace of a seasoned ballerina. But it's not just the technical prowess that captivates. It's the soul-stirring melodies that she weaves, each note a brushstroke on the canvas of your heart. Your Love, is a symphony of emotion, a journey through the depths of the human experience. Pure Magic.

I got two Jackson Misha Pro Series guitars and put these pickups in them. This is becoming my favorite set of pickups, the characteristic is so unique and clear. It's like as low output as a modern metal pickup can be. Stringy, metallic, but mean and powerful. I'm planning on putting more in other guitars

On the SD website it says that the Texas Hot set have less top end than the Surfers, but in this video it sounds like the opposite. Edit: So I checked the sound samples on the website and the Surfer set is definitely more bright. I wonder if in this video they got the labels mixed up on the demo.

You could fall down a flight of stairs and never hit a bad note…. You are one of my all time favorite players ever man!!! You have things so precise but with huge feel and it always makes me practice more listening to you. Feel is something people can’t learn… they have it or they don’t… I try to teach students this concept and people play how they play… not all about how they are taught…. So I learn to try to see what they have in strengths and weaknesses and let them be them…. It I use you as an example video when I am trying to introduce and influence players to practice and play but be true to their tone and sounds as you are!! Thanks Brother for always inspiring me!

If installing covers to humbuckers on a Les Paul, should the pickups be de-soldered and removed? Or can the install work with pickups just removed from rings?

That display with the ventures album brought tears to my eyes, especially since it had their guitar picks. Let me embarrass myself for a second please sir. I'm 45 (b. 1979) and when i was 6 my dad played for me a ventures album and i was instantly in love. Other kids my age were into 80s Pop and i was in love with the ventures sound. By 7 i began self teaching. I later went on to play in multiple bands that played punk and metal as a fill-in musician for touring bands(Gwar, The misfits, Mike Patton,ect) so i didn't have much time to play my Gretsch 2622T Streamliner. Well I'm 45 now and retired and since day one have been learning new techniques and classic surf styles, not to be famous but just because I love the guitar so much. To make a long story short, if you have or know of anyone who has any previous owned picks by the ventures please let me know as if love to buy whatever you have . In my opinion the entire heart and soul of a person's playing and technique are captured in their pick. To be able to play with an actual guitar pick when most likely Make my head explode from awesomeness, however I'm willing to take that chance. Once again please let me know if you could help me out anyway. Thank you so much have a good day my friend..
