Hello make sure ur not in loop mode. In loop mode the trig loop even u pute a mute in arr mode. If the loop is disabled you can keep the hold at infinit. Usfull if you need your sample turn over 128 step 😊

Thanks for being one of the few who actually takes this beyond a 4 bar loop. Quite a few improvise a set with their four bar loop, but very very few show song mode and copying the loop to many patterns for subtle changes. Good video!

Love this video! One workflow I use is to choose the notes by holding the TRIG and tapping the pad in chromatic mode. Makes it super easy to grab notes in scale:)
@bastiaanbeszelsen1638Ай бұрын
In the new update 1.70 Elektron actually added a scale mode with 6 different scales. You enter that when in chromatic mode by pressing function and 'chrom'. You can set the scale per pad there.

Hey man, awesome stuff! Just wanted to ask if some of your encoders are ridiculously sensitive but only on some pages. Like for me to even select a different set of waveforms on the dual vco is an absolute chore, I need very fine encoder movements not to skip a bunch. Don’t think it’s hardware related as most other pages are fine
@damigamusic4 ай бұрын
Mine are pretty consistent. They are sensitive but not to a point where they feel like they aren’t controllable. Have you reached out to Elektron support yet? In my experience, they are very responsive.
@artemvsprime4 ай бұрын
@@damigamusic Ok thanks for replying! I will reach out to them. I’ve only ever used my Rytm mk2 and haven’t tried a different unit so was just wondering. I’ve read somewhere that they’ve used high resolution encoders on these mk2 units for the first time in their production history so maybe they didn’t quite nail the input as they did on the digis

I had the same problem. I tried to fix it by changing the hold and release values in the amp section but couldn’t fix it. Here’s the thing: I’m triggering a 64 steps sequence at 1/4 speed, and that’s why I set the master step length at 256. As I am working with 256 steps and hold - in the amp section - allows 128 value range only - which means 128 steps - I couldn’t calibrate the hold knob to match the sample length.

Hi, Really useful video as it still a little information about this kind of setup. Maybe I missed it, but OT specification says that there are 4 balanced external input jacks. Shouldn't it allow to connect your devices with stereo capabilities instead of mono?
@damigamusic5 ай бұрын
Yes, it can but you only get two stereo devices A+B and C+D. If you want to maximize its use, you can go with four mono connections and then use stereo effects like chorus, delay and reverb when mixing.

Nice.. do you have any blue tooth advice?
@damigamusic5 ай бұрын
I wouldn't recommend trying to use bluetooth when making music because there is usually a significant amount of latency (delay) between the sound leaving the device and getting to the speakers/headphones. It makes trying to keep the timing of the music really difficult. If you still wanted to try it, there are bluetooth transmitters that will plug into devices with TS and TRS connectors and transmit audio to headphones or speakers. Amazon.com sells them.

Your Space Pads Analog Four video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKmso6Nvh7eDqac ) converted me into a subscriber, and this video is also great. I'm newer to Elektron, so seeing you create simple yet dynamic layered soundscapes with these machines has helped me gain a firmer grasp on my personal workflow. Your explanation style leaves nothing out while also not going into tangents or getting lost in the details -- exactly what this content niche needs. Thanks and keep 'em coming!

So when you play them back as a chord, do they play the corresponding key you’re pressing? Say you press on second key F#, would it play to that note?

Great vid ! I think in a similar way of connecting elektron devices but I want to try to record everything via overbridge ; do you think there is a way to do it ? Did you ever try it ? Can I use the 3/4 outs (in cue mode ??) from the Octatrack to go back to the inputs of the Syntakt for example… ?
@damigamusic7 ай бұрын
Yes, you can definitely route back to the Syntakt if you want to use the Syntakt’s effects. Regarding recording, I’ve successfully linked all of my Elektron devices back to Ableton Live via Overbridge. It’s nice because you can use the Elektron plugins to control the device parameters and also use Max4Live devices as additional LFO’s. It’s so convenient.

I whish i could do the cue tricks for two effects: L for reverb and R for delay. I want to select a track to My zen delay and another to Strymon reverb. But cues in that way i hear effect only from one channel L or R on speakers. Do you have any tricks to use two external effects with cue outs to center pan? i don know.
