I spent about 4 hours passing horses to get ones with traits I wanted. (not in the version depicted here) It took me so long because when it came along the first TWO times, they were both 5,000+ and I could not afford them. But I can confirm you can pass forever if you want to get the exact horse you want. I wanted to try to do a solo horse challenge so I wanted one with the clever trait, the trait to feed them two treats per day, and the one that gave more earnings from competitions.

I play the mobile version and don't have a desktop option. It's taken me about a week or two to get to prestige 9. I really do like the game but when I'm older I'll just buy the desktop version. I hate how you barely have any gold and it takes ages to save up. I basically just spend the like $40 to have 6,000 gold. My tips are to save up your gold and don't spend it on breeding. Just keep racing and complete the goals. The goals really add up after a while ;) Hope that helps!!
