@@ChristianDavidMallari hey Christian! Yes we went ahead and rented a car anyways! The fines are very low (if you are unlucky to get one which we didn’t), £10-£30 so we have heard. And we chose to rent the car instead of the motorbike to be safer, since our insurance would have been void too. We wanted to show you guys how you should get an IDP before you leave your home country! ☺️ Kitt

Still baffles me to this day why it is called little England when the majority were Scots. Most estates in the area still retain Scottish Names. Tea was introduce to Sri Lanka by Janes Taylor from Auchenblae in Aberdeenshire. Enjoyed the video.

My only guess as to the nickname could be because Samuel baker (rediscoverer of Nuwara Eliya) was English?? But you’re right - it should be called Little Britain 😂 Kitt

Its because British or Britain was more of an administrative term used here. To Sri Lankan commoners, all the white people were Englishmen at that time. Also, the pronounciation of Little England is easier than Little Britain for the Sri Lankans.

Hey! Thanks for your comment! The back side windows click open 1-2 inches and obviously yeah the front windows can be wound down a crack! But other than that no proper ventilation such as a fan ☺️
