Amazing Larry had critical information but was always kind of shy. He was trying to ask his neighboring attendee if he should speak up, but was called out and intimidated. Amazing Larry could have blown the whole thing wide open, saving PeeWee a lot of heartache.

This was one of my favorite movies when i was like 5 or 6. I remember being a fan pee wee when I was a little kid. I have watched it many times over the years, and have always found it hilarious. I know he passed away very recently. RIP Paul Reuben.

There's a deleted scene which introduces Amazing Larry. He's a magician whose finale is making his toupee levitate. Pee Wee suggests the Mohawk to improve the act. The final film works FAR better when he appears with zero explanation or context.

IMHO: This movie holds up so well because it's original. There's no origi ality today. Everything is a remake of something else. Even advertisement jingles are retreads of old songs. Why? What's the significance? I DON'T KNOW!
