The thing that always sticks out to me with the designs is how muted the colors are. Especially in comparison to games like Overwatch and Team Fortress 2, with their vibrant designs. It seems like they were desperate to make the game look photorealistic, but the designs resultingly feel like they're from a low budget television adaptation.

The answer is simple. DEI and woke activist devs created a scenario where they ignored the majority of the possible fan base to be inclusive. The result was a game made for an audience that didnt exist. Get woke go broke strikes again.

this is a failure of Sony and is why you're seeing the insane prices for a downgraded PS5 "pro". I refuse to pay for the $400 million loss that Sony has taken on this over the past eight years… I'm not a customer anymore. PCs are cheaper than their crappy consoles. They're pushing out the door these days. It's probably the Concord tax on all Sony products going forward

Stop spreading the price lie. It did not, and could never possibly, cost 400m to make this floating turd. Literally everything is default. There's nothing here. No innovation, no big names, no big music, no big crossovers. NOTHING. Nothing that costs real money other than labor on a mid sized sedan of a dev team. The only possible loss of 400m could be theoretically weighing it against sales projections. And even then, they would not have even projected 400m in revenue. This lie is completely ridiculous and every time you repeat it you out yourself as a smoothbrained potato.

Look at concord like a live human birth. 9 months ago (10 years if I remember correctly), an announcement was made that a newborn was on the way. Doctors start seeing problems with the baby's health before it's born. Money and prayers go out for it to help (think about what hype was put into the game and the shills yelling about it) The day comes, and there is too much wrong with the baby. Sadly, it dies.

the issue here is, they spent 400 million dollars on concord. Not on gameplay, not on programming, not on character design, not on the CGI, not on the map, not on the weapons concept. They were spent to line the pockets of the activists who spent more time spreading pure hatred and toxic positivity on twitter than actually trying to make a game.

Great videos. I lost interest in Concord immediately after seeing the reveal trailer. All the characters looked so generic, which is sadly a case for alot of western games these days. No surprise games like Valorant are doing far better. Appealing character designs and gameplay.

How much does the development of a typical AAA game cost? Because 400 million dollars sounds like a lot to me. Like, it's 50 million per year in production on average. At some point you've pumped so much money into a game that it doesn't matter how successful it is. It just isn't possible to break even.

I stick with it, Marvel movies used to be funny. "Doth mother, know you weareth her drapes" for example is a joke that is entirely in character for Iron Man to make in the moment and is funny in the script itself, the problem started when they tried to make every character a Tony stark making them Crack jokes randomly and overburdened the script with the desire to consistently be funny gave diminishing returns

I'll say it here again, the major issue with the characters is you can't tell what role most of the characters fill. Compare it to even dirty bomb, who's characters are in the same photorealism style. You look at Pheonix, Stoker, and Arty and you can immediately tell who is the medic. Concord has a major problem here, Daw looks like a tank, Jabali looks like a flanker. As an added point, everyone in dirty bomb had their gear on their model, medics and ammo suppliers carried whatever packs they dished out, grenadiers carried their grenades, proxy had her mines...

The lore of the game seems interesting. If the Amazon short is good and has enough interested people maybe Firewalks Studios can make a small game in that universe (hopefully with a better character design...). I doubt that Concord will return

That's a long shot to be fair. It has to be very good viewing rates for that to happen but given that they overspend the budget and people hate the designs. It is going take a miracle if they aren't dissolve

The characters are poorly designed _because of_ DEI. People like to say DEI/woke didn't kill the game, it was bad characters, but don't want to admit or don't realize that these things are connected. DEI policies dictate the design philosophy, and some of the core tenets of woke philosophy are: No male gaze (no characters are sexually attractive), no stereotyping (all the characters dress in a random mishmash of bullshit with no coherence or style), and no "oppressive western beauty standards" (all the characters are uggos). People think a woke character means they have to be non-white/trans and constantly reference their gender or wear pride/pronoun pins, but DEI has infected deeper than that that it affects the character design on a fundamental level.

@strickshot it's an ideology that has a hold on the industry and people are seeing the connections between the ideology and the problems in games. The "proof" is exactly what he just said. If I were to make a game about crusaders who were absolutely righteous in everything they did with no flaws and all incredibly strong morally virtuous men. With everyone that we fought being blatantly evil with no redeeming qualities ideals or morals you would likely say that my Christian ideology was the reason for that. You'd be right. For extra proof you could look towards stuff like interviews with me saying how important following God is in my life or how I try to position every aspect of my life to glorify God. Those kinds of interviews can absolutely be found throughout the gaming sphere with these people if you want to find them, but if you're looking for someone from concord saying the words "my game failed because of DEI" then you'll never find that because they'll never say it

A new theory/rumor (that very likely will be true with how life has been in the last few years) Is that the money was possibly stolen or skimmed off. Agencies like Sweet Baby Inc charge millions for interviews and sppeches and other rubbish, and im sure anything that could be claimed as an expense if not outright stolen from the budget would have been done.

Keep in mind they also moved tbe goal post too the only completed 75% of the promised story. We will never know what happens to Snachez cousin and her daughter she was trying to save in Twine Peaks the last 25% of the original Save the World content Epic Game never finished.
