I had one. It literally was one of the worst pieces of equipment I ever bought. That’s saying a lot considering I’ve spent probably hundreds of thousands on musical equipment

Yes, all sounds from the Pro VS Mini. Recorded through two fx pedals (Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb 2), as I mentioned in my video description.

PS. Christian - do you have your 64 patch back for WSA ready now?, as there's virtually nothing on Web for this classic, of which I mentioned I have the 'board & rack versions (!!). 😎👍🍻

Hey! Welcome back :-) Honestly, I haven't made much progress to get the 64 custom patches together. But thanks to remind me, so I think I should make at least a backup of what I have so far. I hope that I find enough time next weekend ;-)

Many thanks for your message :-) Sure, you can :-) In my case, I just used a reverb and delay on the recorded stems for the song. And if you press two sound buttons at the same time, you can get some further interesting sounds. In addition, I sent a slow running drum machine programm of the KB-500 through a reverse delay with dry kill as the rhythmic pattern ;-)

Morpheus is a beast, but of course needs tons of reverb and delay etc for full performance.
@christianssonicspaces4943 ай бұрын
I think the Morpheus sounds good even without external effects. It has a very special, unique sound character. The thing with the external delay and reverb is kind of my style. I just like it ;-)

Love your content! If you had to choose just one affordable modern synth currently in production that is best for ambient duties, which would you go with? Honorable mentions welcome, too!
@christianssonicspaces4943 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for your nice comment. For ambient music it is also important to have a good separate delay and reverb in the setup. For example, I have a Pigtronix Echolution² Deluxe and a GFI System Specular Reverb², but other brands also offer good-sounding products. If I had to start with a single synth, I would choose a very flexible one that I can easily experiment with in all directions (analog, digital, natural sounds). For example, I would be fine with a Roland Jupiter Xm or a Korg Wavestate. Other synths can then be added later to further expand the variety of sounds. Additionally, a DAW to layer the sound recordings wouldn't be bad either.
