According to the book “Shelby’s Wildlife “, CSX 3035 is the winningest 427 Cobra of all time. The original owner/ driver was Dick Smith of Fresno. He was a longtime friend of mine and gave me a ride in this car. The word “ Beast “ does not adequately describe this car. He once took the Virginia City Hillclimb record from the Ferrari Owners Club. 5.2 miles, 26 switchbacks, 1200 foot elevation climb, with 1000 ft drops and no guardrails. Dick did it in 3 minutes and 24 seconds. Some sweepers he took at 160 mph. Sadly Dick died in a plane crash with his step son. You brought back memories! Thanks for this.

Looking at building one, currently between a superlite, ultima, mk4 cobra, or slc gtr for my first kit. How tall are you? I typically don’t fit into many things and have concerns I won’t fit into any of them. Also, what were your main reasons for letting yours go. Thanks so much.

How much do you think can I get one of these cars by Cheap price

One thing I've noticed is not to many (actually haven't seen one yet) people have the optional sliding side window. I think it would suck not being able to open the window. Just think of paying toll roads. You need a window that opens to some degree.

I need to find one that someone started and lost total interest because they realized you actually need some mechanical, fabrication skills. So, any half built/destroyed SLC out there for sale ?

Are those "above head" meters and a/c supplied by the SC too? Just asking....
