If you make you a custom stand that can hold the drone and let the battery have open room to not be touched but still get the same leaning on takeoff and holds the drones legs. You could do a full takeoff without scraping the battery

@@flash2867 if you’re using HDZero, there is a Discord channel where the community is very helpful. I highly recommend joining for getting help. Unfortunately, I don’t use HDZero. My setup is analog video. But of the top of my head, it sounds like you might either have a loose connection or the HDZero Vtx is overheating and shutting down?

This was fantastic! 🔥 I'm planning a build using the same KISS/FetTec FC and a HDZero VTX - was there any kind of special config that you had to do in the flight controller to get it to display the OSD?
@ChrisGripeos Жыл бұрын
The only thing that was needed was to set the Serial port (the HDZero was connected to) to "MSP" in the KISS configurator. That got the basic OSD working with HDZero. KISS makes it pretty easy :)

And the bands of video on the sides - what causes that? I trying to decide on some kind of digital goggles but can't figure it out.... <;-)
@ChrisGripeos Жыл бұрын
I’m overlaying the goggle’s video (what I see) on top of the GoPro footage (that I have mounted on the drone). The goggle video is 4x3 but the GoPro records in 16x9
@RudyNortz Жыл бұрын
@@ChrisGripeos OK, thanks. If the GoPro wasn't there there would be to black bands? I am wondering if Walksnail would fill my FX box goggle screen.
@sirmissalot8065 Жыл бұрын
@@RudyNortz no, there is different cameras that are better for certain things. the best one imo at the moment for hdzero is the micro v2 as it can do 16:9 and 4:3 and will be able to do 1080p when they release the software for it. there is also a 90fps camera for raceing

Why are there four bar graphs in the upper right corner?

The video receiver has 4 antennas tuned to listen to the same signal. The receiver will combine all antennas and produce the best picture possible out of it. As long as at least one of them gets a good enough reception, I won’t lose video feed :)

@@ChrisGripeos Thank you for making the game possible. I watched that trailer probably a dozen times when I first saw it. And to this day it's one of the most unique first person shooter campaigns you can play. I was wondering if there might be anything that you could tell people who were interested in modding a campaign for RC.

@@maximedaniel6095 It makes me super happy to hear from people that enjoy the games I've worked on! Thank you for the kind words! As far as help with modding the game, it's been so long since I worked on this game (man! time flies!) I don't remember much.. I did audio, some graphics and XBox programming and not much gameplay stuff. I'm not sure I can be much help. But I did post a message on a private LucasArts chatroom in hopes that someone from the old RC team will see the message and can help out. I'll write back if I hear anything or, hopefully, somebody from the old team will respond on this thread directly :)

This seems to be a very stable glider

It really is! I took it to fly in South California, US. The weather there was very thermic with strong gusts. The glider did great! No collapses or anything funny. It was very stable. I'm very happy with it.

Looks like a cool place to fly! When are the best dates to fly there?
@ChrisGripeos6 жыл бұрын
It's one of my favorite places! It's also a very popular flying destination for pilots from all over Europe. It's good for flying there from Spring all the way to November. When the weather gets colder in the winter, I see a lot of speed flyers/mini wings flying there around that time. There is also a nice bar near the LZ located in the woods where all pilots go to relax after a long day of flying.

if the glider is upside down and you pull the breaks the glider will come back up and stay right in the middle of the wind-window. The right thing to do is just let the glider stay upside down, it will automatically stay on the ground. If it is pulling to hard you can hold the b risers.
