Thanks for your comment! I booked a Japanese style room. If it is a twin, they also have bunk bed type rooms. The Japanese style room is for 1~2 people, so I think it can be used by two! This hotel also has capsule type rooms, but the Japanese style room was a private room type.

Hi may I know for your trip from otsuki to kawaguchiko, how is the extra fare being paid? On board to the conductor or?
@sugoitraveljapan
@sugoitraveljapan Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! In this video, I bought a ticket in Shinjuku and took the Fuji Excursion to Kawaguchiko Station( through Otsuki station). You can buy the tickets online or at the station counter at any major station in Tokyo. You can go from Otsuki Station to Kawaguchiko Station without using the train in this video, Fuji Excursion. It is a normal train. I think the fee is about 1,200 yen (one way). If you are boarding from a station before Otsuki Station, it is recommended that you purchase tickets to Kawaguchiko first. you can also buy tickets at Otsuki Station, but I am not sure if there are seats available. I would be happy if it would be helpful. Have a nice trip.

@@sugoitraveljapan Hi thanks for the fast response :) Yeah I am intending to take the Fuji Excursion through to Kawaguchiko.Did you use JR pass? Because my understanding is that JR pass only cover from Shinjuku to Otsuki. And Otsuki onwards will require another fare even if I am on Fuji Excursion train.
@sugoitraveljapan
@sugoitraveljapan Жыл бұрын
Ah i see! I am japanese so i can't buy jr pass unfortunately haha but i guess you can get the train first and pay extra fee afterwards when you arrive at kawaguchiko station. If you want to take reserved seat, you should go the jr ticket spot called "midori no madoguchi" and show the jr pass and pay the extra fee before boarding. This is official website just says a separate fare is required so it should be fine if you don't have the reservation. (These days tourists are very increasing so i recommend the reservation anyway) www.jreast.co.jp/hachioji/fuji_excursion/en/#fuji_howto Any questions if you want to know more

Thank you for your comment! If you do not have a jr pass, you can purchase the ticket at locations in JR stations called "Midori-no-Madoguchi". Midori-no-Madoguchi" are located at large JR stations, such as Shinjuku and Shibuya stations. Ask station staff for the location, and they will tell you right away. At the Midori-no-Madoguchi, station staff will issue tickets, so it is best to tell the station staff, "I would like a ticket for the Fuji Excursion, please. In Japanese, it is called "Fuji-Kai-yu. It seems that you can only stay in Tokyo for four days. Fuji Excursion seems to be popular among foreigners these days. If you come to Tokyo, please go to the Midori-no-madoguchi (ticket office) and make a reservation as soon as possible. Have a nice trip. If you have any questions, please ask anything. I will support you.

Thanks for watching the video. I am also glad that you are interested in Japan. I believe all Fuji excursions stop at Shimoyoshida station after boarding the train from Shinjuku station. Here is the official website. www.jreast.co.jp/hachioji/fuji_excursion/en/ The JR Pass, which only foreigners can buy, only allows you to ride to Otsuki Station. From Otsuki station, you need to pay an extra fare. However, I don't think you need to get off the train once (it is Japan, so you can manage by talking to the train station staff. hahahaha The JR Pass is this. japanrailpass.net/en/about_jrp.html Please keep in mind that there are some trains that are similar to the Fuji Kaito route but are not Fuji Kaito. @@sugoitraveljapan Thanks so much for your speedy and helpful response! We have a JR pass so will use that for the first part of the trip and pay the rest prior to boarding at Shinjuku. We might try to reserve seats as well to avoid disappointment. When did you take this journey?

Thank you very much! I recommend that you buy tickets in advance at Shinjuku station. There is a place called Midori-no-Madoguchi(tickets window) at JR stations, so please buy your tickets there.
