All that work only to leave those 2x6 spacers under the lid rail stands? Take some scrape and cover with carpet.

You should invest in riding blocks or some good 6x6 blocks, Doric vault uses a bunch blocks like you did and it’s dangerous, I’ve built up over my head

Interesting process and devices. Perhaps you could explain to me how fixed handles on a casket work. Are they more difficult to carry for the pallet bearers?

I couldn't help myself, i had to watch this video, the care that go's into a burial, the equipment, certainly have a lot of appreciation for grave yard grounds keepers 👍

The cemetery I work at stopped accepting Clark vaults because they said it was too much labor.

My fiance wasn't lowered by a lowering device. He wanted the back hoe to lower him in the hole. That was his request, and the funeral home came through. 😢

After 38yrs in the boneyard I have never seen anything so crazy. Clark vaults are different, I know . There is no way you can do 5 burials a day with this goofy setup.

This is a good hearted man that has respect for mankind. The world needs more people of his character. God bless him. What is this vault made of? Does it have a water seal?

These men that are doing this really have a lot of hard work in getting the casket ready to burie. This is a lot of responsibility making sure that nothing goes wrong in the process of taking care of our loved ones for us. I thank These men for all the care that they have in doing this job.

Where do you go to get a job like this? Are you hired by the funeral home? I mean, I doubt there are “Help Wanted” signs for this sort of career.

What an enormous apparatus to lower a casket. Seriously it looks a like manual escalator. The set up here in The Netherlands looks very nihilistic and much easier to set up compared to this monster. Yet the casket is equally lowered automatically with steel cables.
@henryw.65692 жыл бұрын
How do you get the wire rope back once the coffin is lowered in?
@336ballistics22 жыл бұрын
There are two small mounds of dirt under the vault that creates enough space for the cables to be removed once everything has been lowered into place.

Bless your heart! This is so kind of you to post this video. A funeral is a person's last goodbye on earth. Their lives mattered. It always breaks my heart to see a funeral that had little or no attendants to mourn them. The work you do so tenderly shows a level of respect that is sorely missing in this society today. God sees your work, we see your dedicated work, and the Angels of Heaven are there to offer silent support. Thank you for all you do.

I'm from the UK we don't have vaults we just dig a grave 6ft deep put the coffin in the grave and fill the hole. What's the purpose of the vaults?

I don't like the new concrete vaults most use today. I remember my great-grandparents' graves having heavy steel vaults in the 70's-early 80's

Very Interesting ! , because we miss all of the set up, when we get to the cemetery for the burial, the grave is all ready to go, THANKYOU for the 'behind the scene' look of setting up a grave, and I also like the 'compassion' of cemetery ( they even put chairs to sit down for families in grief).
