Summer football is the way forward for the NIFL, just look at the progress the LOI has made since switching, everything has improved. Increased attendances and success in Europe are the two main things.

Have to feel sorry for the manager who comes across very well. Larne did not play well and paid for lapses in concentration. Rovers are no world beaters either having been thumped by St Pats a month ago. These things happen in football.

St pats are arguably the best team in Ireland atm, they lost very narrowly to basaksehir in the playoffs this year. Reality is the nifl is so so so much worse than the loi

Between Rovers 1st and 2nd goal Larne played reasonably well. But over the piece Rovers strolled it. Lynch references the St Pats game at Tallaght, Pats are currently the best team in the LOI, they , St Pats, are very far ahead of Larne imo. So Pats beating Rovers means nothing when it came to Thursdays game. I think Rovers fans would have prefered Inver Oark too, tbh, but we may not have got enough tickets for there

An honest assesment by the Manager, the hurt is clearly palpable. His determination to amend his team's performance is praiseworthy This Island needs succesful teams in European Competitions, as other Leagues are progressing with huge amounts of money on offer. Collective responsibilty & joined up thinking from the IFA is so crucial. A Challenging task but every confidence Larne FC can get points from their remaining fixtures

I'm very angry our image being disgraced again by pathetic sectarian chants. An empty terrace with just a large Union flag - what point is that is supposed to make. A welcome gesture to our visitors ????? ????????? Our club needs to take appropriate and permanent action against these types of imbeciles who shame us. Surely there is camera footage of these clowns who behave like this. Sad so sad.😢 Football is a Sport.

Very short memories but I suppose that's what all Larne fans have as they never knew they were even a club until a couple of years ago! We (Linfield) made the European Cup quarter final in 1967 and even beat the best in England (Manchester City) in the 1971 European cup winners cup. I don't like to give gl*ntoran any credit at all but in the late 60s even they were only knocked out of Europe on away goals over 2 legs by a Benfica team including Eusebio who were one of the world's best teams at the time. Get your facts right before uploading videos like this. Football wasn't created in the last couple of years.

Interesting watch. Good to see the club bringing the trophy to the schools as well. Bit of a shame of the poor attendance at the game from Larne. I know they're only a small town and average attendance is about 1500. You'd have thought that as they're the first club from the Irish league to get into a group stage that the wider football community would have come out to support them. Good luck to them in the rest of the group games.

@@TD99Music It's a long story cut short My father was serving officer when I was three years old & I remember the back garden being concrete no grass, I know things change, but I thought I'd do it this year (40th) but an emergency happened so I had to shelve it until 2025, but look forward to getting in a Larne game, maybe we could meet up for a drink & conversation?👍
