Sadly it's not like that now, most of those shops have now long gone. Turkish barbers, charity shops, nail bars and coffee shops are the norm now, most people I know will now go elsewhere to shop, the town has been run into the ground by a stream of bad councils and mismanagement of funds 😞

Interesting fact :- This building is known by the locals as The scaffoldi building because it was surrounded by scaffolding for a year, The scaffolding was removed before it was decorated in solar powered LED lights in order to make it more attractive. This was put on hold by locals due to lockdown due to COVID. My cousin who lives there was donating fairy lights.

That was one of the best intro shots I've ever seen for selling a property (and I watch a lot of these videos). However, whilst a little silence at the start gave a sense of drama - it needed something in the background after 10-15 seconds. After 30 seconds, I wanted a knowledgeable individual to tell me how wonderful the property is (material, lighting, location - you all know the drill). All that being said......the intro.......brilliant.

Once upon a time it was A. E. Batchelors the Saddlers and Leather Merchants. Got my shoes mended there when I was a boy. A really historic building remaining in Epping which should be listed to prevent wanton development by 'investors'.
