Im making a game based on this, and some features like limiting slots make for a lot of control over your builds. Im not aure i ever saw this much customisation in any other bullet heaven roguelike. Also this version added armory where you can bal items and weapons to hunt for what youbwant easier. Max 10 must be on for each

Before 0.7 there were working leaderboards for endurance mode based on each character. No idea if it will be enabled at some point again. I wasnt there for the launchnmonthbof 0.6 so no context. So for now the oly meta is gringing for unlocks or the minigames.

Yeah this game was very addicting, pumped lots of hours. I think your take on not taking the game seriously is fair, more because lets be honest its a fan game, hard to take seriously. But a lot of very talented fans enjoy hololive, and if you look into the creator he has an impressive background/CV. Some of other great Hololive games include Holo X Break (similar to Little Fighters 2) and Idol Showdown (a fighting game)

Calli is one of the characters that can pop her Ultimate whenever, though there's definitely better times for. Though for Myth, the [Q]ueen of using it whenever is Gura. She just wants to merrily use her ultimate whenever.

nice one just downloaded it n went for my 1st run. 1st attempt: won my 1st stage using mori calliope (almost 22min run). and yes there are weapon upgrades, i got a weapon collab during the run. "elite lava bucket" and "spider cooking", merched into a purple bucket called "elite cooking". ( required a golden anvil that spawned around the 17min mark )

You can play with numbers at first if you feel like it, but eventually I turned them off because of the visual clutter that you may find in later stages. Same thing with your weapons, you can increase their transparency to make the screen cleaner. Later stages truly do test your reflexes, maneuvering, and item planning for each character, so don't be afraid to replay the same levels many times and experiment, especially since later levels recommend you to have at least a couple of upgrades so you're not overrun in the first 4 minutes. As a rule of thumb, it's generally good to upgrade your main weapon to regular max (Lv 7) since it's your main damage dealing tool and it tends to gain a potent effect once it's regular maxxed. You can overlevel it with anvils for the extra damage. Some characters aren't that heavily dependent on their main weapon. Other than that, feel free to experiment with any combination of things. There's even an achievement for beating a stage while never leveling up your main weapon, so all stages are beatable even with your weapon at 1, you just need to learn to itemize and maneuver.

Oh this game. I played this once. I don't know how I did it, but I got a monstrous run in unlimited mode to the point I was too big to fail. I had to just stop because I was afraid for my laptop at the crap flooding my screen.

Yes, literally everything you see in game is a reference or joke from these streamers. For example, all the enemies are the "fans" of each streamer (shrimp are Gura fans). Another example: the Cutting Board that you said you don't know which characters it applies to more is a joke about chest size. Characters with flat chests benefit more from that weapon like Ina or Gura. Mori Calliope would not benefit as much. Another example is the Spider Cooking weapon. Its a reference to when Haachama cooked and ate a real tarantula on stream XD

I mean, it's still safe to call this a meme game since pretty much everything in this game is based off of Hololive memes. We can call it a passionate meme game. A lot of it isn't meant to be taken super seriously but you absolutely could. Especially since the game's difficult does spike pretty radically as you progress, which is what makes it so much fun, imo. But yeah, every item/weapon/interaction is a Hololive reference. If you're ever curious about anything I'm sure people would love to give you context. For instance, all of the enemies in this game are the fan mascots for each talent. In Stage one they are more specifically based on the EN 1 and 2 talent's fans. It's also why when you defeat an enemy a little heart appears indicating that you "saved" them from their mind control, hence the subtext of the game's title "Save the Fans!"

Some items and weapons have hidden effects that aren't listed. The cutting board and bouncing ball are more effective with certain characters, but the game does not indicate this anywhere. You have to experiment.

Holocure is the product initially of one very special fan, Kay Yu, that is an accomplished animator (worked on games like River City Girls, some of the anime MV of Hololive girls and some anime). Then it growned to become the game that today is, in years. Hololive asked to Kay if he wanted to sell it at a price, giving to him the licence to use the various copyrights involved (the girls design IS a copyright of Cover, the firm behind Hololive) but he answer that no, Holocure is his hobby/freetime project and don't want that it becomes a "true" game aka work for him, so it will forever a free game.

As for the store upgrades I suggest getting at least one level in growth (your damage scales by level and time difficulty) and one in regeneration, so you're not so healing starved

Going for max man weapon and max skills is kinda the meta, because, aside from building the character gameplay, it frees the level up slot for other items and weapons to appear

The colorful box contains a super item, in this case super knightly milk, and it chanced that you had it already. That box has the super item directly, but if you have the item already it upgrades it

The items have a max level, and can't be upgraded beyond it. Full meal max level is 1. Further into the game there't a way to 'upgrade' certain items

some character need u to aim (left click on mouse/twin stick on controller) other are not, many char revolve around stat like atk size, hp, atk speed/haste or movement speed, and there balance char like kiara witch is good for beginer

Man, I remember when the girls first started playing this game. Yes, I watched them some ways back, sue me. I favored Calliope and Gura for streams. It still looks as fun as I remember. Based on some of your other examples on this channel, I'd say HoloCure is one of the most unique BH style games to exist. Some of them try, with minimal success, to implement new ideas. However, I think bullet heavens are a tough thing to modify without screwing up balance or making gameplay difficult.

I tryed it too on last week-end and yeah, it's REALLY good. They mixed bullet heaven with an housing system, wich is strange to me, but it works really well ! The fact that this is game free is really crazy. Btw this game has the best positive review ratio on all Steam :D .

I'm commenting while listening to the video. So yeah the little hearts when you defeat enemies I think just means they are happy that you "saved them". Skills are what can heal you in this game or food drops.

The enemies are all the girls Fans. The shrimp are Gura the Skeletons are Deadbeats or Calli’s

The only downsides to this game is it's hard to get your male friends to try it out. They take a look at how girly it looks and they probably think they are not the target audience. I didn't know anything about Holo Life when I first tried this out either. I think it's funny that a free game turns out to be better than almost all of the paid for survivor games. The huge ammount of characters that have a whole set of skills and a ultimate attack unique to them alone is enough to make this one stand out above all others. I think that is probably the biggest flaw most of the vamp survivor games have characters that are just waaay too samey and don't really stand out from each other. This one also has a semi idle worker management game that will earn you coins even while you are not paying attention to it. That mini game is the easiest way to max out your meta progression and to get more currency for the character gacha.

I love this game. There's a lot to learn such as the mines can be shot, there is an unlock that breaks the boxes you need after you clear a room, the boxes and doors can be shot to speed up the gameplay, and so much more. All being said you did well. Also the full game has some of those suggestions you've made in it, i would love to get you a copy.

13:07 melee is king in this game. Pump damage runes and attack. Melee compared to everything else is like comparing a sword to a stick. It would be nice if they patched in some balancing to add viability to non melee attacks.

12:24 the Francesca/Falward free healing combo is currently the only viable combo but you require both of them in your party instead of two better characters. Francesca does become much more useful late game with her eventual health boost.

Elven Bow is awesome sauce in Glacier. Can't wait till you see it's evolution.
