this just made me realize that most of the times I was irked by someone's reactions to certain things that I might've considered so simple, it wasn't really them and that their reactions are valid, But it was me and my inability to empathize just because those emotions felt like unfamiliar waters to me

KZbin gave me a little notification about your shoutout, so I figured I'd stop by and say thank you. 🙂 I'm glad you've found that brown noise does the trick for you! On a personal note, many people in my life are abuse survivors (way more than I would have thought, and probably way more than I even know about), so I really appreciate your message and your dedication.

Wow. Thank you. Literally did a search for your title. Have been trying to heal my throat chakra for quite some time and really had not fully appreciated the connection between that and the SA. I'm a singer songwriter and have been experiencing a profound vocal block for almost 2 years. In sitting with the tearful frustration tonight started dialogue with my throat and that is what came up. 🙏💖 Much gratitude for sharing your journey and wisdom.

Positive self-affirmations don't work if your perception of yourself is so low that you believe you have no strengths or any strengths you might admit to yourself that you have, you regard them as not nearly enough to get you through the next few thousand days of your natural life. The _key_ thing people who talk about self-affirmations leave out is _belief_ --self-affirmations are useless if you don't believe them. I mean, if you can't take compliments from others because you believe you're a fraud or a failure, the complimenter just hasn't realized the full "truth" about you, yet, or is just being polite, then why would you take compliments from yourself? Let's be real about this.

100% I talk about this with my clients all the time. we have to build a foundation to get ourselves to positive affirmations. If you don't believe what you are saying, it is not going to work at all.

Divine: of, from, or like God or a god. You are not omnipresent, all powerful, or omniscient. (I get that this is cozy and exposing in a feel good way but I honestly think it’s harmful to yourself) Denying truth subtly for words to over hype your ability. Embrace, Christ. The humility of being able to say… I’m so horrid God, the only innocent one.. had to take my debt. My life’s changed, and empowered through him. It’s amazing I’m tellin ya. I genuinely say this out of hope for you, reader. I’m so sorry for anyone that had to go through abuse. There’s an opposite force to the very evil that lives within us I do believe enough to even say so here.

@@healingsa Hello Daniell. I’d like to point out the obvious concern here- There is only 1 truth. I’m not claiming I can prove 100 percent what I believe, but I’m either wrong or right. Jesus either is God or isn’t God. Same principle goes for all truth claims. Take a person who truly believes they can fly after jumping out a plane and see if hey go up. Doesn’t work. Belief doesn’t automatically equal truth. Nor can it be subjective. With this in mind, I would claim the case for Christ is evidence beyond anything else. And tell you and call you personally to him. Because I’ve experienced what I can only describe as relationship. I’m a skeptical guy, but there’s a presence in me. I’ll admit I am convinced of that. The Gospel message is offensive because it testifies that you, I, and everyone… well sucks. We are evil. But God made a way to be in his perfect presence.

Thank you for helping with a extremely uncomfortable situation. I grew up in an era, when you were just expected to change your behavior. Or asked what did YOU do to bring on that behavior. I have also mistakenly said to people, just avoid that person. That was wrong. I became part of the problem and not the solution to help make changes. I admire your strength
