Enjoyed the video and the new work. Have you ever tried using a pale yellow or warm white when mixing colors? I have found that using them doesn't have the impact that a Titanium white has. Gamblin makes a Warm White and Williamsburg makes a Brilliant Yellow Extra Pale that are really nice for mixing and both available on Amazon. Looking forward to more videos

Great painting and great video. I like how you let the previous painting show through in the background. Too often I feel, people deal with the background as an after thought and just lay in a color rather than unifying the background. And having the old painting show through in the dress really worked. Your videos are really helpful with the showing of reworking areas over and over. A lot of videos on YT seem to show things being done once and being perfect the first time, which we should all know if not often the case.
@sass_artssАй бұрын
Aw thank you so much I really appreciate this ! I totally agree with a background, I know I was never going to have a painting like this again so I wanted to use it ☺️ 100% I sometimes feel not good enough because I don’t complete it in one layer because other artists can. So I will definitely continue to show the reworking. Thank you 🩷

@@sass_artss I think a lot of videos showing it done the first time, is creative editing

most paint companies don’t actually use cadmium anymore! it’s usually just part of the name color which can be anything- but you can see what exactly is in it by reading the pigment code on the back to be safe
@sass_artssАй бұрын
Wow ! I did not know that thank you so much 🩷🩷
@kimkimson627Ай бұрын
The thing with Cadmium, it's an heavy metal that sticks in to the body (bone marrow if I'm not completely wrong) So don't touch it, it can go threw skin. In nature it's quite unusual but can be found in soil, so maybe don't trust all those fancy mud baths.
