I think Thunder are the only ones who have a shot in 7 vs. the C's.
@RandomAxeOfKindness3 сағат бұрын
The C's are cruising to the playoffs instead of grinding themselves down, we all get it. And yet, their record and point differential is almost the same as this point last season. They're doing fine. The Cavs are surprising maniacs, and who knows how that plays out, but there's nothing wrong with the Celtics.

Anyone who says he is unathletic uses a one-dimensional definition of athletic/fitness... Speed, strength, power, agility, endurance, flexibility, proprioception, etc... are all valid parts of being athletic. It just so happens that basketball especially in the last 20-25 years, has defined itself as a speed/agility specific sport (with some power aspects). Jokic excels at other aspects of athletics. In fact he eclipses most other NBA players in those aspects (strength and hand-eye are off the charts, endurance also, balance and coordination, stability). Add to that a pretty good basketball brain, and huge size...

Cavs are gonna realize what winning 70 games feels like in late may... :) And to be clear: Cavs are playing amazing and are gonna be a huge challenge for Boston. Their double bigs are gonna ask a lot from KP, Al, Luke and Neemie. Anyone notice that Mazulla has been playing more double big line ups?

You missed the point by a mile. Nobody's feeling sorry for the players. What is being said is that it's PHYSICALLY impossible to play your best for 82 consecutive games. Try to keep up and put your resentments aside. Worry abour the billionaires who keep you in thrall, not the athletes who entertain people.

Tatum needs to cut down on the 3s to at least 7-8 a night and he’ll be fine but honestly he’s fine let him shoot weather it goes in or not let him shoot at least he has the balls to shoot em unlike Simmons .. he won’t even attempt a 3 him and Gianni’s. Tatum is our best player playing point as a 215 lb wing .. stretch curry is what we call him and without Tatum or leader we are nothing dam sure not 2nd in the east without him he’s our young goat! We as Celtics fans are lucky to have such an amazing player leading us in the trenches every night!

lol washed 😂 they just won a chip they know they can win now and know how to do it that’s why they ain’t going all out they’d rather save energy and limit injury risk watch I guarantee after the allstar break they go ten times harder to prepare and get ready for that playoff intensity

Boston would have won that seven game series against Miami and would have beaten the Nuggets, instead they put themselves in a 0-3 hole and JT got injured in game 7. The best team in basketball for the past few seasons since losing to the Warriors in the Finals is the Boston Celtics.
@themindempowered18 сағат бұрын
I'm legit not worried about the Celtics losses. most of them are teams who have career nights and just winning by 6 or less. The loss to the Thunder showed they got lethargic in the second half, though they tried to make a run but failed. We know what they can do in the playoffs and they can fall to the 4 seed for all I care and I'll still trust them to make at least ECF.

@MelGrossmann13 сағат бұрын
It wasn't lethargy, it was playing a 3rd road game in 4 days in the afternoon. The 3 in 4 is something the league said they were trying to get rid of, but not for the Celtics in premiere matchups, I guess

the "career nights" thing is actually the "champs are visiting" thing. every team wants to see how they measure up, and "circle" that match up on their calendars. @MelGrossmann is right about the Sunday afternoon game. the Cs had a back-to-back against 2 top defensive teams in the WC, one day off, and a 3 o'clock start. they kind of ran out of gas late in the 3rd.

For me, the Celtics have shown they legitimately reached “flip a switch” ability… they have legit championship pedigree. I wont go for the sorry ass “they’re bored and waiting for the playoffs” . I truly believe they love the game more than that … but I will say, not only do I believe they’ve earned games off (D white off when they’re in his native Colorado? 🤔 👀 😂) but I really think these Celtics have shown they have a whole other level to tap into and they know damn well when to do it 💯 ☘️

@justhere650716 сағат бұрын
Agree with everything you said except for one thing you doubting that it’s them being bored and waiting for playoffs while I won’t say that’s entirely true I believe it’s simply a subconscious thing that floats around in each of their minds since they know they won a chip it’s only natural to assume you have every right to win th game no matter what even if you lack effort because you just won the whole thing and the fact they are doing this good whilst having all that hype and still being able to be this focused? Celtics really ain’t getting enough credit

Let us be honest and not meida race-baiters. Jokis shouild already have 4 MVPs and he is clearly the most important member on any team and thus should win another MVP this year. But, we know the lying media pushing their "eye test" narrative will create some new reason to vote for someone else. However, if Jokic, his standard codre roster, and Westbrook can jell into a cohesive whole, And, if Westbrook can continue to "bring it" for another 4 years with the Nuggs, they should compete for championships during that stretch, barring major injury. Finally, if they should win another ring, or two, then there could be no denying Jokic being one of the best 5 of all time. But, thats a whole lot of "ifs" along with woulda, couilda and shouldas to overcome, along with the bias of the current "sports media!:
@NoahMiller-j4dКүн бұрын
The definition of athletic: "physically strong, fit, and active." How does that not describe Jokic? He is stronger than everyone else out there. He outruns other team's centers on fast breaks consistently after getting a rebound. I'm tired of the talking point that the best player in the NBA is unathletic.
@140acresretired7Күн бұрын
If Murry played like he deserved that 50 mill a year Booth gave him they have 2 Championships already and on the way to 3. Murry has put the brakes on any more Championships. A player I would off not gave more then 20 to if that. So many bad GM's. X basketball player that have no clue what they are doing. Like Booth for the Nuggets. I think Westbrook is there 2nd best player.
@MG-np6whКүн бұрын
He is so fun to watch as well, so creative, you have no idea where the ball is going when he passes a lot of times. Once he gets blocked or some play doesn’t work, he adjusts. There’s one phrase that Coach Malone said about him and I think he’s so right “he doesn’t fight the game, he uses what the game gives him” and tbh that’s what he does, if his teammates are shooting well - he is gonna focus on that and may not shoot as much. If that’s not working he will focus on shooting - and that’s where you’ll see his 40+ games.
