You should try track mode, thats when all the electronics are off. Its a wild animal then. You have to come to a complete stop to put track mode. I love my speed. Best bike ive owned yet.

Ktm duke 250 is a beginner bike but again not a first bike because for a first bike it should be a below 100cc engine. I myself ride a Ducati monster 821 from 2016 and also Triumph street triple RS 2014 model but I started riding a 97cc scoter first for 9 years before buying my first bike which was a yamaha 150cc bike . so start slow and be good at it before upgrading. You will drop your first bike keep that in mind.

Rs660 is in a weird price bracket. It costs way too much and for about the same money you can get a very lightly used panigale V2 which is drastically better.

@@22Epic No it's not. 1st and 2nd gear are neutered in Commute. A little better in Dynamic and the front wheel comes up in Challenge. You would need to actually use full throttle to discover this.

Non of those are beginner bikes. 400/500s and lower are beginner bikes. Those have way too much power for someone that has never ridden a motorcycle. Sure you could stsrt on a 1000cc sportsbike but that is definetely not ideal.
@stefaandeswert377 Жыл бұрын
Not really though. I've ridden both these bikes and others with well over 600cc. No experience except for test rides and my license tests. I understand what you are saying but I believe what they mean with starter niks is CAN you ride these bikes as a beginner. And that answer is hell yes
@22Epic Жыл бұрын
The RS660 can be restricted, so it's a nice beginner bike. Maybe expensive for a beginner but definitively not too much power.
@benjaminbrunner7882 Жыл бұрын
The rs660 has been the best bike I’ve owned and I’ve owned 1000ccs and yes there fun asf but can’t beat how much more fun you can have in corners with a tuned 600

I don't agree, i own a Street Triple RS, I've ridden a bit of everything in my life and I can say with certainty that it IS NOT a bike for beginners, mine with full titanium exaust, filter and map, has 130 hp at the wheel (almost a Moto2 GP ) and then weighs only 160 kg. (with flip-on titanium exhaust). In the mountains you can fight with the Hyper 1000 without problems... Being a naked one it also has very short gears, no my friend, it's not a bike for beginners at all. I've never tried the Aprilia and I can't comment on it.
@1downrestup Жыл бұрын
I can't disagree with what you are saying, but this goes for any bike. There are no slow bikes anymore, but you can certainly ride to your own ability. I have a friend who started on the triumph after being on a 125cc for less than a year and because of how easy it is to ride it has given him alot of confidence to build his speed on it. Now, I am sure he also realises that there is plenty of power under him that can bite him at any time.
@villeayras5371 Жыл бұрын
And then there is the KTM Duke 890R. More torque More fun. Better handling than the Triumph. Way better on rougher road surfaces (which unfortunately we have a lot of here) And you can turn the Wheelie controll off without disabling the tracktion control off completely. Before buying I test rode the 765 RS, the new Ducati Monster, Ducati Hypermotard 950SP, the new MT-09sp. Tried to test ride the MV Agusta Brutale & Dragster but could not find any demo rides. For me the KTM Duke 890R was just better than any of those. 22000km later I still love it.

Both bikes are for sure not really "beginner bikes"... Or is every bike under 150 bhp a beginner bike in today's world 🤣😅🙈 ???
@1downrestup Жыл бұрын
Lol, I can't disagree 😅 but I said this is aimed at someone who been living with a 125 for a while and is looking for an upgrade. Or at least this is how I done it anyway back then. The new emerging 400cc market didn't really exist back then, which I am open to explore my self in the future before i start dissing 400cc bikes👍
@raimee81 Жыл бұрын
I just came back from test riding the 765RS. Definitely NOT a beginner bike. I am coming from a 48hp 500cc, and even then I could feel that if I wasn't careful I would fly off the back.
