Clapton has said that Budokan was his favorite place to play (he's even said that while playing there). Songs from his concerts there seem so much more powerful, subtle and with incredible emotion. This recording is proof.

@tanakayuta7934 Hi Tanaka, i have checked RAH 2009 full concert video, this version is not present in RAH 2009 full concert video, also the RAH 2009 full concert has a different date from yours, yours is 16 may and RAH 2009 Full concert is 23 may, so do you know what date, month and year is this version from so that i can see its video, if present on youtube? Thanks

So wait, he’s doing an electric version of his acoustic version of the original electric version. God bless Eric.

One of his best solos he's ever whipped out. I've gone back and listened to that solo at least 4 or 5 times now, the pinch harmonics, speed buildups, his refined guitar tone, phrasing. Also a super badass photo of Clapton, thx.

The transition from *I Shot The Sheriff* to *White Room* at 23:28 is absolutely dramatic and chilling! It's a normal move for him but it looks like a part of a cinema. That's what great bands do!

Clapton at some point wanted to be the best guitar player, and I mean come on, the amount of solid effort he was putting out in these mid 90s shows like this one, he's definitely a candidate.

Do you think Sheryl Crow's My Favorite Mistake is about Clapton?

Most people only praise what Clapton did in his youth. But what he achieved in the 90's and early 00's it's incredible. Some of his live performances in those years are mind blowing, so much emotion, so much feel, every note (and pauses in between) it's absolute perfection.
