I missed the Faces when I was younger. I was into soul and other stuff. Now, at 78, I play the Faces in the shower and sing along at the top of my voice.

Some questionable clothes choices by Rod which continues to this day , but his voice and the whole band back in the day were peerless. They were rarely on time when I saw them, sometimes shambolic but😊such great nights.

The biggest hypocrite in the music industry,Takes a knighthood from the future king of england down on bending knee then sits in a football stadium in Glasgow "parkhead" amongst football fans that sing anti monarchy song's and utter hatred for the Royal family that gave him his Gong in the first place! Sings in the former queen of englands jubilee his backing singers dressed in blue red and white.... I'm sure that went down well with the celtic faithful! Singing another artist's song sweet Caroline " Neil Diamond" Oh.... One of his own song's... tonight's the night and the lyrics "Don't say a word my virgin child Just let your inhibitions run wild The secret is about to unfold Upstairs before the night's too old" Is that not utterly creepy? Lived away from england as a tax exile but comes back for his gong! Who would have the nerve to do that? Yes ole wrinkly rodders.

There are some incarnations of bands that are just as good as it gets. This version of Faces, IMHO, rivaled even the Stones. Ironic how Woody would later join that band and play a huge part in their 70s & 80s sound.

50 jaar geleden, een legendarisch concert. Mijn eerste singeltje was I'm Sailing van Rod Stewart. Toen ging m'n lichtje branden. Begreep ik plots Iggy Pop in TOPPOP. Let's Face it. Dit is een optreden met geweldige artiesten die doen wat ze echt willen en niet denken aan commercieel succes. Hun hart volgend. Herman. Ex van Conny Veer.

Weird. Rod's mic was live but the rest is just miming to the record. Not one shot of Carmine on drums, he can just barely be seen next to the keyboardist a couple times. Lotta comments here don't seem to have a clue, think the band is actually playing.
