I believe you have to take off the screen, then remove 7 T10 screws from the inside to in order to release the hinge

I have an asus a15 laptop and I also have the same issue when my laptop is in charge my cursor glitches or when I simply slide it it automatically clicks anywhere and opens apps on it own and when the charger is removed it becomes back to normal. If I use external mouse it does not happen.I also use the laptops original charger a

Nice to know what the correct repair is... Do you have any suggestions for those who have no previous soldering experience? I'm willing to learn and get my hands dirty, but I'm uncertain how difficult of a fix this is for a noob

Practice soldering on any scrap board first and see how you getting on, or give it to someone who has soldering experience to avoid unwanted hassle

Same. No matter if plugged in or not, issue was there. Rarely used 3 month old ASUS laptop. So yesterday I got a Bios update and the issue seemed to have fixed. Everything worked smooth post bios update and restarting and then the laptop we t into auto sleep as it normally does after a few mins. Turned on and still it was working fine. Pluggen in charger and again the issue started happening (even after removing the charger or restarting without charger). Have just submitted laptop to a dell/asus service center as it is still under warranty. They told if it is software issue, they would return tomorrow or if it is hardware issue, after 7-10 days. Let's see.

You are a savior, I could not figure this out. Mine was not a cap but the entire chip was barely soldered on the cable. Had to replace the entire cable.

its a problem with the hall sensors that register if the lid is closed or not. magnets under the speakers. clean them

As soon as I see the HP 14-CE I know it's going to be a RAM socket issue. I made a couple of YT shorts about this. Am I right? I'll watch the video and find out. :))
