So, the best place to find customers would be to daily check code violations and then approach any business that receives those code violations. I'm planning on starting a striping business in both Oregon and Arizona. I live 8 months a year in Oregon, but "snowbird" down to Tucson 4 months out of the year. I'm a real estate investor, but don't like sitting around so I'm going to do this on the side to make money and keep myself out of trouble.

California wants you to have a C-32 license and you need 4 years of experience to get said license so I’m guessing you can’t go and bid on parking lots you’d have to get a job doing it for 4 years first 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Is there a work around on this?

Brother, I've been trying no matter every setback, illness, and caring for my wife. I been doing remodeling, and things were going ok until my wife's medical scare 4 yrs later she finally got her transplant and is doing better just learning how to stay on track of her medication she has to take the rest of her life. If you don't pay your bills on time, the company/merchant will report you to a credit reporting agency. Can't you as a business owner do the same if you don't get paid? You can inform the customer that you will report them and effect their credit rating or let the customer find out on their own that you reported them. The credit reporting agency may advise them to contact you to obtain proof from you that they have paid you in full. This may be an incentive for them to pay you. Perhaps you may not get your money, but it will be very satisfying to ruin their credit rating. Just a thought.

When i was an electrician for a company of 5 people we worked on really high class peoples houses sometimes or just insanely wealthy and certain builders we worked for would tell us to add 10k to our bill for the customer and then said to write a check to them after it was all done. Probably asking every sub to do the same and the owners dont even flinch at the extra price

Yup. Same thing happened to me. I’m a small operator, I repair console controllers. Business reached out and wanted to do a business to business deal with the promise of more business but wanted a discounted rate. I agreed. I fixed 5 controllers and never heard from him again. It’s been 6 months. People are crooked and dishonest
