@DMKFACTOR That is true. I suppose personally I have this issue. I want to pull off that close, risky shot, and have confidence that I can with practice. But don't have time to practice them so I do it during play 🤣 never kept score much, now that I am I realize how this effects my game. I've never looked at it as poor play. Buy yes, it is when theirs a safer more consistent option.

I somehow flopped over a full grown pine tree with a 7 iron. Out of the thick rough and landed on the green 5ft from the pin, one of my very first times golfing. They all told me to take a drop or hit it under the tree & I said "I got this" and just hail Mary'd probably the best iron shot Ill ever hit. Even took the very tip off of the tree with the ball 🤣

I’ve done this quite a bit and I found instead of staying down through the ball, hands forward at impact and finishing hands-low, I was manipulating the club face closed to mimic the feeling of staying down and low and sending the ball off line

This isn’t a pro level punch shot , pro level would be like hitting it through a gap that’s in a forest of trees , not between two trees that are 15 feet apart

You should fix your alignment with your feet. To hit it where you want compared to where your feet are aiming you’d have to hit a huge sweeping hook. If you’re cutting across your body like that it’s going to be tough to be consistent.

I’m glad you pointed this out. I struggle to aim my feet with my club on the driver and it leads to a lot of inconveniences
