Fantastic! It is like anything else, make sure your data input is correct. I validated mine a few time against my ballistic calculator at various ranges. Everything the scope was showing me lined up with Strelok/Applied Ballistics.

I am also add that K2 has 1.7X magnification compared to 2X for K3. So K2 provides wider field of view.

@@malin7919 for distances that short and low humidity I think the 256 will be fine especially. I run at minimum a 384 but I'm looking for 300+ yards and typically in summer/spring is very humid here 100%.

Your RH50R should be more clear than that. Adjust the focus and mess with the settings and should be better. I have one and it is impressively clear

@@BradenWrye we hunt in pretty high humid areas in eastern NC so washing out a 640 unit happens. You should see what the 384 units look like at 100% rh and 80 degrees

Just ordered this unit , it was the last one in stock...the only thing I see that concerns me is the diopter adjusting wheel on the exterior side....that is just stupid and I hope it doesn't get moved out of focus easy..

That was your first solo hunt, huh? What part of NC you hunting? I just left NC this summer, and I'd been hunting a lot with two good buddies there who had kinda mentored me back into the sport, and into night hunting with thermals. I am in WA now, and last night I went for my first solo stands. My second stand got really wild, and I had coyotes all over place. I saw 4, and was able to kill a pair at 33 and 35 yds, right in my lap! It was a cool stand to have success on for my first solo trip and first WA coyotes! Congrats on smackin that first one, too bad ya lost the second one!

I am in Eastern NC and that particular hunt was in Pitt County. I normally hunt with my 2 buddies but their schedule didn't work out and I was itching to go!. Thats an awesome first solo trip, congrats! Man that's an amazing adrenaline rush to get 2 in that close, we had one last night at 70 yards walking in and it still get my hear racing...especially under a full moon.

@@donavanschutkowski3205 I have ran it before on nights with ambient light and it does pretty well. Ultimately any digital NV scope will need an IR light but check out this picture. Now this was done on a pretty decent lit moon and ambient light from adjacent houses. The T20 doesn't have the ballistic calculator built into the unit as it does not have a LRF. You will need to see what your ballistic data is for your round and correlate it with the scope reticles. I did this a different way by shooting at 100, 200 and 300 to see how it would like up with a reticle in my scope. I got lucky and one reticle lined up about right for me at 300 yards for a coyote. @@zachopitz1677 I think but L6 edges out the RH50 in high humidity, but the RH50 edges out the L6 in good condition ingreards to overall clarity. I always try to out the weather conditions in the video so people can hopefully get a better idea when comparing scopes.I will say the RH50 does have a better microphone than the L6 by far. I do love the user interface of the L6 out of anything I have ran.Im finishing up this weekends hunting footage which will have a lot of both scopes. We put 5 down Saturday so I have a decent of footage so hopefully that will help you more.

So I guess I’d probably need to stick with my RIX. I just really liked the idea of having the build in and more compact LRF.

@@idkidk7985 the leap series has the option to add on an external LRF. Once you have the lrf added on you can purchase the ballastiic solver in the Rix app and it will do the ballastiic calculation. If you notice you see the tube on the top right of the scope that's the LRF.

I have ran the AGM Taipan 384 for little while . The AGM had a sharper image due to the larger screen and pixel quantity but it was also double the cost. I didnt get the chance to compare them side by side on the same footage. I have a buddy who has one so I may try to compare them. There is a good amount of K3 footage on my channel but if your looking something specific let me know. I typically hunt 1-2 times a week so I am sure I can get the footage. Right now the humidity in Eastern NC is ridiculous so it's tough on anything.

I'm not super into these budget thermals, but man I have to give you credit for the excellent showcase of the menu, with the buttons alongside the menu etc. Not many reviews show that level of detail in reviews.

I've got the older AGM Rattler TS25-256. I want to upgrade without going much over 2K and definitely under 3K. I don't know RIX, AGM, ATN, Athlon, or cash in the 401 cancel my hunting trips and get a Pulsar.

Make sure you have the bushing in the LRF mount when you install it. I have used a rubber liner ( cat tounge grip tape) for when I lost my bushing to line the inside of the mount.

So far I have been able to pick up deer and make out rack size up at 300-350 even in the NC humidity. I haven't had a chance to see one farther to see when the identification falls off. I have picked up heat pretty far off in bean fields but I could not identify as the animal was laying down. I am hunting 1-2 times a week so Ill keep posting footage.

Typically this depends on the differences in temperatures outside of everthing it sees. Any thermal sensor really doesn't care about day/night it only views the heat differences. A hot and humid environment will give a less crisp image compared to a cool less humid environment. I hope this answered your question.

Do you need Wi FI or Bluetooth after you enter the ballistic info on the app for the scope to make the calculations? Will it make calculations out on a hunt without access to a phone?

You will connect to the scope via an internal wifi connection. Once you input the data in your phone and upload it to the scope.. your done! The scope does the calculations. During this video I was using my phone to record and it was not connected to the scope at all so you will not need to have your phone constantly connected.

My L3 has been operationally flawless in any weather condition. Haven't had any issues except for some corrupted video files that took a firmware update and a total file deletion to fix. Still the best 384 res thermal scope for the money.
