Only thing that cones to mind is our Christian kids now are extending with the world and then we have a none believer come into the church and instead of them changing to christ we the church change to be accepted by the world .

Just like all the IX Marks books I have read, this was a very practical and helpful conversation. I presume you have more of these conversations planned to accompany the other books in the series. We purchase many of the IX Marks books/booklets for our church, as they provide excellent material for training our people. Keep up the great work.

We have a Wednesday night service of 65-70 for Students and we literally use that language. "this is not a church" we are apart of this church and even dismiss with, see you guys on Sunday! Our goal is to give them age specific ministry and prepare them to become and serve in the church! We don't have a separate name, vision or mission from the church

At what point does a Deacon leave a church he is ministering too?

So sad that you have rejected the Holy Spirit grieved Him quenched Him who is God. No wonder your church is small because you don't preach the Gospel with power. You have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. You preached salvation to the Muslim woman dying of cancer but you didn't drive demons out of her or anoint her with oil or lay hands on her to see her healed. How much greater blessing would you have experienced if you fully obeyed God and believed all his word not just part of it. Brother you need to repent big time. And read again Acts 1:8 and experience your own Pentecost for right now your mind is carnal and at enmity with God. His ways and his thoughts are so much higher than yours. God has so much more for you if you just trust And obey him. Repent. Get on your face and ask God to show you where Satan has deceived you and the demons in your own soul that need to be cast out. Ask God to set you completely free and fill you with the Holy Spirit to overflowing

We all have both type of authorities the difference is the foundation we use to use it. The only foundation for the exercise of both authorities in Christianity is the Word of God. Our commands and counseling have always to be submitted to the Word of God. A position or ministry never put us over God and His Word and we always operate as instruments of God and not as independient individuals. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God[b] may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

ABUSE: a corrupt practice or custom improper or excessive use or treatment. Language that condemns or vilifies usually unjustly, intemperately, and angrily. Physical maltreatment. A deceitful act. (Merriam-Webster)

Authority is not limited to visiting people, is submitting to God and His Word in whatever He asks us to do. BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP MEN An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless-not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. (Titus 1:6-9 NIV) WOMEN Teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. One place to go is to Romans 13 where it reads: Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Why are you using the terms senior and associate pastor? This hierarchy of elders is found nowhere in the Bible. There may be leaders among equals (Peter, James, and John among the disciples) but at the end of the day all pastors/elders are all equal in authority. It is this language like this that causes the fear of addressing other elders

By not having associate pastors and senior pastors but one equal leadership that is held accountable by unbiased associates/presbytery. This one man show eldership is not biblical and will be judged strictly.

GOOD AUTHORITY: IS LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, NOT BY MEN Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. He was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium. Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. (Acts 16:1-3 ESV) And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us. And when Paulhad seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. (Acts 16:6-10 ESV)

ADMINISTERS BIBLICAL DISCIPLINE If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. (John 10:10 ESV) To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8 ESV) Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do[e] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21 ESV)

Danny is right about the cultural impact on our students. Al Mohler always sounds good in public, but he tolerates WOKE faculty members and a provost who waffles on cultural issues. I know he has fired some faculty who are orthodox. He mentioned consistency but he needs to lead with consistency.

Clint hit on it. It's the passive nature of many men in the church. Bart said his church has no issue with it. I challenge him to talk to his teens and college age students. They aren't telling their pastors and parents everything. Trust me. The same holds true for sexuality issues.

You're riding a fine line there pastor, certain people are not even to be allowed into the church. Obedience because of love, not love itself, is what Paul was speaking of.
