Thought: If Jack would have just shut up and not talked about the stalk being chopped down, this video would be only around 2 minutes long and the Witch would have lived. I say this because I loved the Witch (still do, still do), and think she did not deserve to be done dirty like that.

I did briefly, after I saw him play this on Broadway in '91, the year this was taped. He seemed a kind, generous man and very down-to-earth. I consider myself blessed.

I think she might be putting on a voice(like forcing her voice to be nasally) and this is a pretty hard song to sing. It’s probably hard for her to catch her breath. I don’t think she sounds the best but I think we need to take that into account lol…I’m sure she usually sounds great, in the soundtrack she does

One of the most difficult piano vocal scores to play (never mind sight read). A nearly non-stop river of syncopated triplets played at tempo and abrupt key changes. Adam is a serious genius of a composer. And this scene always ends up with me in tears.
