Wish addiction all had happy Endings. I lost my 39yr old daughter 5 yrs ago cocaine with fentanyl. I spent years in treatment & counseling getting sober. Had over 25 yrs. My children all went to therapy. Their father wanted no part of "family disease". She was such a a good Mom, slipped a little before her death. Her children 5 years later are in college doing great so far. But with addiction in the family both sides scares me. No one asks to be an addict. Insidious disease grabs you before you realize. Horrible way to live. I doubt she knew she was fentanyl was added. THIS IS A DEADLY ILLNESS. With fentanyl now in the mix I believe so many are dying before they reach their "bottom". She loved her kids so much

The FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS YOU NEED TO SEAL THE SOUTHERN BORDER AND STOP THE NONSENSE. Stop preaching about recovery and ignoring the reality of the SOURCE of this evil. This is a cop out, accepting the border evil, and implying you must fight against what cowardice let in. The first thing to do when a leak begins sinking the ship is NOT TO PUMP OUT THE WATER, BUT STOP THE LEAK!

I guess he was sober…and then he wasn’t. He was blessed to experience his exceptional life successes. Apparently, he also took his need for substances to the nth degree. Staying at extremes for more than a moment is akin to playing Russian roulette, particularly as a person ages. It is clear that his health had been compromised by listening to the sound of his voice (comparing it to the time he was on the big and little screens). His gift to the world was to show his failures as well as his successes…the human condition. From this particular interview, one of his messages is that prolonged isolation breeds inner toxicity and that pure loving connection to the world on a regular basis has the ability to help heal a person…

Trump started this nonsense about FENTANYL, how the immigrants are bringing it into our country. BUT FORGOT TO ALSO SAY IT IS MADE HERE IN THE USA, THAN SOLD TO OTHER US MANUFACTURERS. ALTHOUGH, WE HAVEN'T HEARD OF ANY ONE IMMIGRANT BEING ARRESTED FOR THOSE DRUGS. ANOTHER TRUMP LIE OF COURSE...FACT CHECK. I'LL GIVE YOU A HINT: J & J. IS RESPONSIBLE.

Hang in there, everyday, You WILL feel better and better..that anxious feeling WILL go away…Kratom helped me…I was sent to a pain clinic with a wrong diagnosis, and was addicted to opiates for 7 years, I OD’d twice…the hell I went thru withdrawing cold turkey, was well worth going thru to stay sober…it gave me my life back…please hang in there, this is doable…..I got addicted in my late 50’s…..

Young man had NARCAN administered to save him from fentanyl . He had this three times in one day from taking it three separate times in that day. Why continue to administer this expensive thing after the young man takes the illegal item again and again. Why is it not reasonable to refuse a third rescue drug ? Suicide is not the choice of a provider, it’s the choice of the person who choose to ingest it again and again.

Excellent documentary!! Alas, the comment about expecting someone to bring a casserole to your house after you've lost a loved one to an overdose, like they would if your loved one had died because of cancer is ridiculous!! Cancer is not self inflicted! I'm on oxycodone, I have stage 4 cancer so I'm worried about addition.

Yes, I can 100% agree. My parents got divorced when I was 3. My mom and I went to live with my grandparents. My father was an alcoholic. I went through sexual abuse ,with my father. My grandfather died at 15, my dad died at 16.
