The sanitation worker is the front line of municipal government When we were discarding our parents old mattress. With a $20 bill we were told: “We do not take bulk furniture in our truck……but I am not going to physically stop you as you put it into my truck” I respect these workers because they know if they don’t do their job - everyone knows it (and smells it). So treat them with respect and they will return the favor

In my county, they will take trash that is bagged only. If you clean out your car and throw fast food bags or unbagged dirty diapers into the trash can, you will find it on your lawn when you come home. Bulk pickup is once a year.
