I need some of this energy in my home improvement projects. Woo! I'm working on improvements in my yard finally and I'm excited and overwhelmed. There's just enough of a slope that if we put chairs around the firepit you always feel like you're about to tip over. (And that's BEFORE the wine or margaritas have made their appearance! hahaha.) I'll have to watch this video a couple more times and attempt to get us at least a section of flat area to work on. You do make it look do-able. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys, where in Florida are you? We are in Spring Hill. I am about to start to install the tiles on my front porch, and it is so funny, but it is the same style you guys did😅. Good job on that patio; I hope you can install some color LED strip lights that will flash at the bit of the music. We did that, and it is so cool; they are cost-effective.💪🏼🙏 -Jorge & Ann

Hi new subby here, I want to do this, well hire someone because hubz and I are older and hubz doesn’t have a handy bone in his body..😂 I would like to know how wide is the cement floor. I was thinking of making mine 10ft. But not sure if that’s enough. We’re in Texas 😊 BTW, I’m showing the guy we hire your video 😊 You guys are a fantastic team❤ our back is 52’ by 32’. Thank you ☺️

😂 WE LOVE IT! Thank you so much for loving our build and using it as an inspiration for your project! Our area ended up being 40 ft by 10 ft wide! We hope that helps and wish you the best of luck on your transformation. We would love to hear how it all turned out 😊

@@TheHandyCreators that is good but I wouldn’t use Home Depot. The stuff I buy is for docks and it is dripping wet all the way through. If you live near water find out where the dock builders buy.

looks awesome, now time to step the grass game up! Being that you two are in Florida and you guys decide to do sod in the future I would recommend Scotts Pro Vista St. Augustine. @latoyagall11Ай бұрын
@@TheHandyCreators asking a question is not bulling. I wasn’t sure because she had a deep manly voice. It was just a genuine question.
@TheHandyCreatorsАй бұрын
A “genuine question” would be one that contributes to the topic of the video, not one to categorize someone simply because of how they look or speak. If you look at our channel, the first words are “husband and wife”, therefore, asking such questions are of no importance and do not belong on this channel.

Looks absolutely stunning! Could you please tell me the dimensions of the entire area (you initially cut out of your lawn)? We have a big family and need a similar amount of seating.
@TheHandyCreatorsАй бұрын
The area we cut our measures approximately 16 ft long by 10 ft wide, that way we would have enough space to account for the structure and the support base. Ours comfortably seats 11 people, but can seat more if need be. It is absolutely perfect for big gatherings

Will this work for a heavier material like rock, sand or gravel. It looks easy but I didn’t necessarily like the mulch look. I want to be able to sit in our slopped spot. Use it as a patio.
@TheHandyCreatorsАй бұрын
Yes, it should work with a heavier material, but the area will need more support to withstand the weight. We did something similar to level our backyard when we built our backyard seating area, and it has held up beautifully

what was the total number of blocks you used for this project? After watching your video I'm definitely going to try this method. Seems much easier then other projects I've seen.
@TheHandyCreatorsАй бұрын
Just to build the structure, not including the caps, we used approximately 180-200 8” x 8” x 16 concrete blocks and dry stacked them. We found it to be the easiest technique and even made a set of plans that outline the entire step by step process
