The piece is beautiful however to call it a cutting board is really not a good idea. If you cut on resin epoxy it will show knife marks and scratches, Maybe not immediately but cutting damages resin epoxy. Do you agree?

Beautiful 😊 and I love that that epoxy is only on one side. A food cutting side and a display side is great. Definitely prefer it to all the boards I've seen made where the epoxy runs all the way through

Thank you so much! 🥹 the client had the design they wanted before we even spoke. They knew the size, colors and even where they wanted the epoxy to be poured. When a client knows what they want, we guide them to make the piece come to life but we respect their wishes and vision. The cool thing is that with epoxy each piece is so unique and there’s so many possibilities! 😍🥰

not food safe ...... zz
@TheHandyCreators16 күн бұрын
Some epoxies are food safe when fully cured and used as directed. Yet, most of the population uses plastic cutting boards and it’s not a “concern”. Regardless, the epoxy side is designed to be displayed and used on the back which is solid wood.

I have been redoing my backyard and want to build an attached pergola over my brick pavers and enclosed it for privacy. I love what you both are doing and it inspires me. I am a senior and the only help I have is my spouse and funds are an issue so I try to do most of the projects ourselves. We built a wooden fence with wood gate in the back and a 5ft fence with a 4ft gate of vinyl to the side the home. I need assistance with getting a concrete slab of 99sq ft built to house our 8x10 shed for storage. We will provide all the materials, just need assistance with the mixing and pouring of the cement. Know of anyone who can assist?

Watching with the sound off while i was tinkering with something i didnt even know that was supposed to be a beach/ ocean. Not until i turned the volume back up and backtracked a bit lol, maybe should try a different technique so it looks like it more. Just like a tattoo if i cant tell what it is just by the looks until you explain it, the objective of the mission wasnt accomplished.
@TheHandyCreators17 күн бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! We try to always bring each piece as close as possible to what the client wants. They wanted a mix of colors and no harsh white. Art is subjective and what some of us may love, others may not. Even with tattoos, to many it may not make sense but as long as it does to the person getting it, then nothing else matters. The “objective” was their happiness and that was accomplished. Thanks for your concern.

Your jointer is missing the blade guard and your table saw either needs a new blade or the blade needs a good sharpening and or cleaning.
@TheHandyCreators17 күн бұрын
I know lol…. I would not recommend for much, he found it easiest to not have it on, but always protecting the fingers 😅 and yeah we have had this table saw for over two years and apart from needing a new blade, we really need a new soon. The motor is struggling to move up and down as well, so hopefully we can get a new one this year
@jaykeehan581317 күн бұрын
Cleaning the gears that control the blade height is quite easy and takes only a few minutes of work. Just tip the saw on its side and use the mildest agent that does the job (I use degreaser and follow up w silicon spray). The workpiece “bucking” up and down is a bad look. Dewalt saws are surprisingly powerful with the right blades-I routinely make angled rips through 2 1/8” of hard maple or zebra wood (much harder woods than walnut). Your saw with a little consideration should be fine for making any cutting boards.
@TheHandyCreators17 күн бұрын
We are definitely going to give that a try. We recently changed the blade but since we work with only hardwood and build furniture pieces as well, the blade has gotten a lot of use recently… as far at the gear head, we did not know about that. Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a few tips and pointers us in the right direction, it was not the best of times trying to split that walnut piece lol

We completely agree and that is why we always educate our clients that if a piece has epoxy on it, that it is for meant to be used for display only. We always leave the back of the boards untouched, so they can use the back and then display the front. That is the whole concept of our epoxy boards.

"Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far more than that of corals. Her husband trusts her from his heart, And he lacks nothing of value. She rewards him with good, not bad, All the days of her life....She delights to work with her hands. She prepares herself for hard work, And she strengthens her arms.... She is clothed with strength and splendor, And she looks to the future with confidence. She watches over the activity of her household, And the bread of laziness she does not eat.
