6.82 in the 3-cone drill, 5th out of all players at the combine, not just QBs, but everyone, meaning he's more agile and quicker than most RBs and DBs. He didn't run the 40-yd dash, but watching outrun LBs and some DBs, it is likely he'd be in the 4.5 range. He's almost certainly the most athletic of the five top QBs available in the upcoming draft. He's a highly effective runner, just not Barry Sanders shifty. He runs like McCaffery, slashing through holes and getting there a lot quicker than the defenders who then can't bring him down with arm tackles as he's already past them once they've chosen bad angles. He can also just run over people when he hits them head on. The entire U.of M. offense was structured to get the ball out of his hands quickly so he could avoid injury, because he was so much better than the #2 QB on the roster. Look what happened to FSU once their 1st string guy got sidelined with a season-ending injury. Harbaugh did his best to avoid that from happening to Blue. Haters say J.J. showed so little because his coaches did not trust him. I say his season stats were unimpressive because the coaches were scared to death he'd find a way to hurt himself, given his will to win, if he ran a lot, threw a lot, or played 4th quarters in routs. J.J. was in good health and still fresh in the Rose Bowl and led his team down the field late in the game for the tying TD, mainly with passes. All sorts of haters spouted nonsense about his "weak arm", and at the combine he throws 61 mph, one mph less than the supposed freak, Joe Milton, who threw 62. Good for you to figure some of this out after taking the time to watch some highlights. J.J. is so good and such a winner that he'll be just fine wherever he goes in the draft. We fans deserve to see him start immediately and give us some pure excitement, and not be shunted to the bench for a year or two.

His 3rd down and under pressure numbers are the best of this class. His advanced analytics that the NFL guys lean on are off the charts. The NFL has had Mccarthy rated very high for a long time. This is why he came out vs. going back to Michigan. The media just looks at basic stats, size, arm strength, athleticism and completion %.

Remember, this kid is a natural-born leader with that aura. Wolverines never even had to open up a playbook because they are a run-first team. It's natural to be skeptical, but this kid was a 5-star recruit, came in at 219 pounds with a lively arm, and he's only just turned 21. He is not a finished product. He needs to sit behind and learn, but when his time comes, I believe he will be ready. Trust me on this. His impact will be similar to Jordan Love or CJ Stroud. Just don't throw him to the wolves now.

He is definitely stressed about being GM and Head Coach. He should go to a title contender like Brady and/or pick between GM and HC. The GM’s job is to make money and get good players. You can’t always be dominant. Heard of a rebuild?

I DISAGREE...I think anyone that is a fan that is saying that he should retire should be ashamed..We should have kept Tom..let's not act too hastily here..There is SO much more to winning than anyone saying this realizes..Bill has made some great roster moves lately..sure move him into the GM only, and promote Jerod Mayo to HC..

Yeah. He is juggling a lot tho. I don’t know if having his son in the coaching staff is the best decision ever. I commented somewhere on here about he needs to pick what he wants to do. Also retiring wouldn’t be that bad. He is rich and could live at a resort like house.
