The aquamarine dream and pineapple dream are my recent favorites. The nearest authorized dealer is 3 1/2 hours away from me so I'll have to buy one online.

The reason I like the 39mm more is the lug distance is 20mm instead 21mm on the 40mm Explorer. This makes huge difference for wearing different straps.

Beautiful but way too big and it looks to much like a Laurent Ferrier or DiRenzo. I'll wait till they produced decent dial dimensions.

Hi, I don’t think it is too big, it fitted my wrist which is really tiny and with the metal bracelet I am sure you notice even less its size. But yes, I am always happy with smaller watches!

Also Yema no longer offers nato style straps at 19mm with bronze hardware - which is insanely annoying as no one else offers this either.

The new movements are nice but aesthetics wise the old models with their sapphire bezels (and the colourways) were much nicer. The vintage looks gave it an almost skin diver style, which really worked well with the bronze and allowed the sharper colours under the sapphire to "pop". The new design looks much more generic, whereas previously there was a much more distinct identity.

I get your point. As I said in my review the watch lost something but at the same time I think it became more marketable. Interesting point concerning the 19mm nato straps. I can see that Yema is a bit reorganising selling off old models, maybe when they are done they will be offering again all the straps.

the immediate give away is the slowly changing date window. on a real pelagos the date jumps at midnight to the next number, so you will never see a in between date

I bought one from eBay (thought it was genuine) - smelt off when I received it, checked the date font (slight difference) . Then checked how to change the date using the crown - the copy, you had to turn forward - a genuine one, you move the crown backwards. Returned it straight away - if the crown motion was backwards, I don’t think the seller would refund me, or at least be problematic.

I got a hold of one, and I must say it is a good looking watch! However, it turns out the tropic strap that comes with the watch is actually 20mm, although the lug spacing on the case is 19mm, so Squale just squeezed their 20-mm tropic strap into a watch with 19-mm lug width... I also ended up squeezing the strap at the buckle end because the buckle is 16mm, and the strap doesn't taper enough to be able to pass through the 16-mm buckle without squeezing it, especially if you have a smaller wrist.

That sounds weird, mine is 19mm and does not squeeze anywhere, hence i dont know whatbhappened to the one you tried? Mine is rights fit

@@WatchInTime Not sure myself, but the strap is definitely a Squale strap as it had Squale markings, etc. It is possible that they had run out of the 19mm strap for this LE run of 300 & decided to use their 20-mm strap for the remaining watches. The one I tried on had a high serial number (28X/300), so perhaps that's what they did for the watches nearing the end of the series.

@@blethook i cannot vouch for yours, in fact mine is under first 50 serial, but i assure you 100% as i have measured, mine is 19mm, also of course the SS as that would have been imposible to fit, maybe it was your dealer? sometimes they misplace straps as this is exactly the same at least looks like a normal squale tropic

The 1st one I owned, number 51, had a 20 mm rubber strap. It had a finish issue and I returned it for another, number 32, which also came with a 20 mm strap. Neither the AD nor Squale answered my query about this.
