Your logic is flawed! ... Sitting motionless on a moped, moving at speed, would actually be more likely to "freeze your nuts off," than walking, which would actually warm you up!
@sam.p1234527 күн бұрын
When it’s down at freezing temp though, a lot of the issue is time of exposure. I walked for about an hour yesterday reasonably briskly, carrying a 17kg toddler, and after 45 mins I was frozen to the core. Whereas it might only be 10 mins of cold on a moped.

That neon indicator lamp; we had a very old immersion heater and it used one of those outside the cupboard that the hot water cylinder was in along with a brown bakelite switch.

I love discharge lamps, some are getting very rare and hard to find. Sodium linear 200watt tube is my latest. I remember those Philips SL13 jam jar lamps, heavy as hell, couldn't mount them horizontally or they'd sag or destroy the socket!

That E-type lamp has done well for being submerged for who knows how long! I used to have 3 of them when I was a kid, wish i'd kept hold of them now! With the slow flashing, this happened if you used a 50 mA bulb (meant for non flashing versions) in a flashing circuit designed for 90mA bulb.💡 Have a good Christmas Andy!🎍

I spy a microfilter. So, you don't have full fibre? ... I live opposite the exchange in Lancaster, and I have fibre to the cabinet (FTTC). Yet, when I move further away from the exchange, to my parents home which I've inherited, I can have fibre to the premises (FTTP). What do Victory think about you filling your flat with junk? ... I've managed to get a grip on my hoarding tendencies, which were quite bad at one point, but once a hoarder? 🤣 ... I always used to dread gas servicing, but my flat is much less cluttered than it used to be! ... eBay has a lot to answer for?
@RandyDarkshade23 ай бұрын
Spot on. I only have fibre to the cabinet. Victory/flagship have never said anything about my flat, they baredly ever visit aside for a once in a blue moon property check to make sure there are no cracks etc (building was built in the 60's) Hobbies that you frequently active in to me isn't hoarding as you use all the items of that hobby. To me hoarding would be like, having a box of 20 electrical sockets just because they "might" come in handy one day, and then add other electrical bits and bobs to the box because they "might" come in handy one day, when it's cheap enough to buy a new one as and when it's needed.

Why don't Victory fix your broken window? My HA is Jigsaw Homes. They've destroyed 20 years of my life (theft, arson, death threats, ASB, drink, drugs, you name it, I've suffered it). They've dragged me through Court over the last 3 years for complaining, and I'm in Court this Friday for a trial that could send me to prison! Hope THAT never happens to you!

@@RandyDarkshade2 I do like the look of the old Dodge fire engines. My favourites though have to be the good old Dennis engines. My parents bought several of those massive Philips CFL bulbs when they came out decades ago. A few years back, they gave me one of them, but sadly it was damaged. I have a rarer bulb. A 95 y/o 1929 Edison Carbon Filament Lamp, made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Edison's Electric Light (1879). Made for the US market, it's mounted on a wooden base, with metal thumbscrews for connecting 120 volts (dangerous). It came all the way from America, and fortunately it didn't get broken. I'm EXACTLY the same! I have a hair phobia. If I even THINK I have a hair in my mouth, it makes me vomit.
