Love you boys, you know I do! But 100% against your take on a field of 100 on the tour. I get your points, but In a time where between LIV and KZbin all we talk about is “expanding and growing” the world of golf, PGA wants to cut a full third of the field? I think that backfires big time if the goal is more viewership. If it happens, I’m pretty much out of watching all tournaments except Majors. And I suspect I won’t be alone. Add on top of that having to pay subscriptions like PeaCOCK just to catch early coverage??? I’m certainly ignorant to a lot of this, but looks like weak tea to me. That said, keep posting bangers!

Great topics. Only thing I disagree with is decreasing the DP cards, and I'm American. 10 cards for DP world tour players seems appropriate to keep global interest in the game, and how many top players are playing in the KFT events? Oh yeah, zero.

I hope they can have on James Nitties again to discuss the changes to the Korn Ferry tour once this vote goes thru next monday. In my opinion, the PAC is saying screw the Korn Ferry tour and screw the journeyman. Also, they dont want a fall portion cause they dont want to admit they are scared of the grads of that tour coming out the gate hot in the fall. I agree with Smylie, 10 cards is too much from the DP world tour. I would have said 3-5 at most. Rory hasnt had it this season on that tour. He could have put it away with a win. He is lucky that its match play between him and Thirston Lawerence for the season long title. The lead is 1786 pts. I think first place is 2000 pts. There could be a different top 10 of those cards. It would be interesting to see what happens to Matt Wallace he would be 9th but they dont have that pga tour card next to his name cause there are still 2 weeks left where he could easily get in the 125 with a good win being at 130.

Why can they not just award more $ for signature events, but keep the points equal all around. Seems like a simple solution

Thing about anti-trust, though, is that the DOJ right to bring a case against an organisation doesn’t go away because that organisation came into existence-it can be pursued years down the line (when a very different administration may be in power). So even if Trump does intervene directly/indirectly to make getting a deal done easier, it doesn’t follow that it’s clear sailing DOJ-wise. Going through DOJ scrutiny now may still be in their interest.

I think the Golfing Gods were punishing Smylie and it might have a bite of them trying to beat light. 1 thing i appreciate from the production team, they were honest with how dark it is. Many times on the broadcast, they were use heavy lens to make it light. This was so much fun. Loved that Smylie and Charlie gave us off season content when the pga tour is off this week. They are so funny especially Charlie with his games he was playing on 13 as Smylie was trying to tee off. I wonder if at the turn Smylie could see that special number in golf and it got to him
