I’m loving your videos. I’m glad I’m a subscriber. How often Do you have to change Thelma & Louise tank?? Do they eat watermelon or any type of fruit??

Thank you, l am very happy that you enjoy my videos. I have had Thelma and Louise for a little over two weeks now and l have cleaned their tank twice since then. I will be adding a new video soon of how l cleaned and changed the water in their tank. I have offered them some watermelon but they weren’t really interested in that. Thelma really enjoys her little hatchling pebbles and Louise prefers Romain lettuce. They both love dried shrimp as a snack and l have started to grow some duck weed for them to eat as well. They really like that too.

I am a new turtle and fish parent and l myself am learning a little more each day about these wonderful little animals. River Cooters can live 40 years or more and they average about 9” to 13” when they are adults. 🙂Tina

Lovely yard. Yes, slim. Thats a lot of work on this nature pond-gosh This hasnt been maintained for a LONG LONG TIME... tIme to raise up tree branches. Trim away ground covers, realy tidy up the area. You need a pool scoop leaf thingie...clean debris DAILY. get a pump and fountain sprayer... circulated water is a better ecosystem.... put in gold fish like 7 or 8. Only feed when air temperature is ABOVE 50 degrees. Only enough food to consume in one meal...a sprinkles worth. Get floating plants.... i would suggest a biofilter set up and a pre-catch filter on dubmersable pump head.... your pound will not stay crystal clear! Thats ok, you judt font want scum and thick algae in it.... rule of thumb is 1/3 flush over flow on water ...when NEEDED only. In fall MAKE a dome cover to retard falling leaves from droping into pond.... research more info on line

Thank you for your comment and your awesome suggestions. We have been doing a lot of research and we will have to modify the pond area a little. The east side of the pond is too low and when we have a hard rain all the dirt would wash into the pond so will have to raise it some. We still have a lot of work ahead of us but it will be awesome when its done.
