Mate, love this. It worked! I used the needle method to tease it out, took a few tried but found out I needed to go quite deep to 'grab' the inner edge of the stick. Levering it out carefully worked a charm. I tried using super glue to stick the top and pull it out but didn't work, doesn't seem to stick.

I have graduate classes today from 8a to 5p and I was like "let me change the pen tip, I've been meaning to do this for weeks" and BAM I cut it. I was in tears. You saved me! I just did this - worked great! Pro Tip: use an LED magnifier with base and a safety pin, since opened it kind of has a handle. Also, I did a couple dry runs lightly pushing against the nub to ensure it was "free" sliding inside the nub retaining tube. You will know the nub isn’t jammed since you will feel the spring when pushing in. When you heat up the tip of the needle (only the tip). It only stays hot for bonding to the nub for a moment. Push against the broken nub just enough to feel the spring tension, keep applying pressure for about 5/10 seconds, and then let it sit for a minute to ensure a good bond. Then push in again slightly to make sure the nub isn’t sticking and pull straight out. Congratulations! In my case I'm superdad to my daughter AND you just gave the industry the middle figure.

I just installed this kit and the track bar adjustment side is on frame side not axle side . Either there has been major changes in the kit over the past 5 years or you might have installed the track bar backwards

A couple additonal of tips for folks doing this under these conditions: 1. You are doing this outdoor. 2. You are doing this in a rather cold weather(around 45-50ºF) If that is your case, you might want to skip the cooling part, and put the hot pin in right as the red fade away. This will ensure your pin still remain relative hot so it can melt the plastic. I am using a cheaper setup in the video and it worked, you could technically do it with just a lighter but expect it to take more times❤. I cannot thank you enough to share this to the community, you just save me the from wasting 4 hours prior to the exam day for studying. Great work!
