Our flesh by default doesn't want conviction or a relationship with God, It's our choice to want it, and die / deny the flesh and the lusts of it, , but knowing when we stumble or miss the mark of holiness & righteousness it's the blood of Jesus that's PAID that Dept.

Why is it that tithe should not be applied in the same manner now that it was applied in the beginning of the church establishment? If that ministry diminished, well, it is likely because secular caretakers have assumed the role of helping out the needy in place of the church.

This is a good explanation. I may be off but I also think that it could be seen as how God views fruit. If it's not by a believers it's not good because all our righteous deeds are filthy rags without Christ. I do think that’s good to point people in that direction .. but what about getting under the root cause of these things.. the under lying issue, taking a step back and saying okay what’s wrong here ? I am conforted by the thought of a pre-tribulation rapture as that would mean not having to go through the worst difficulty, but as you alluded to, it does not need to be an issue of salvation or not. I'm having an issue with the "limited amount of people" in the 5 point calvinst system. My spouse and I are at odds because of this point. He says the "all" in John 3:16, amongst other scripture means God's children only. I'm confused.

I came across these verses at a difficult point in life which put me into a panic attack and made me doubt. During this, I said I wasn't sure if I could be saved to my Grandma and later lost hope. I don't want to be too far gone, but I haven't felt conviction since then and it's harder to pray.

Dispensationalists like to categorise Old Testament covenants, in particular, into two categories: One, they will call conditional, and the other they will call unconditional. Naturally, they will pick for instance the covenant with Moses as a conditional covenant because of the stress of the law there, and then they will pick the covenant of Abraham and they will call it an unconditional covenant. When the Dispensationalist sees the so-called “unconditional” (which they are not) promises made to Abraham, concerning a specific plot of land to be given to Abraham’s offspring to possess forever they accuse Reformed Covenant Theology of implying that God has cast off Israel and replaced her with the Church, and that we are ignoring these “forever” promises, and turning them into a spiritual pseudo-promise so we can say they are fulfilled. To a Dispensationalist it is as simple as this: Abraham’s descendants haven’t possessed this land, so the fulfillment must still be expected in the future. However, this is unequivocally false. And of course the Dispensationalists use the Dispensational slur of “Replacement Theology” because they dont understand "Covenant Theology". Covenant Theology is in fact “Fulfilment Theology” - Scripture Itself declares that the promise of the land to Old Testament Israel was fulfilled by God: _“So the LORD gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and lived in it. And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.”_ The inspired author of 1 Kings unequivocally claims here that the promises concerning Abraham’s seed being as numerous as the sand of the sea, have been fulfilled. He sets forth the exact dimensions of the land promised in Gen. 15, as being now inhabited and ruled over by Solomon. Of course, later in 1 Kings 8:56, Solomon will actually declare that all the promises have been fulfilled. So clearly, God declares through inspired authors of Scripture, that the Israelites did indeed possess the land already and His promise was fulfilled to them to the greater Glory of His Name.

Respectfully don’t think you landed the plane here. I’ve been using the tension between truth and grace as a guide and seeing how Christ responded to folks with moral differences. Still need to compile. Since this is perceived as identity related if we are not sensitive in our disagreement we run the risk of alienating the people we are trying to have connection with.

No one is perfect. People don't understand whether you call it karma or reaping what you've sown, when one sins, there will be punishment for it. It may not happen today, or tomorrow, but it will happen. Now for those who seem that their suffering is an everlasting thing, that if it's not one thing it's another back-to-back, there's more going on than merely reaping. Sometimes, it's generational curses for what our forefathers have done. The bible says that the sins of the father is visited onto the children. In that case, prayer, and even seeing a priest to cast out the demons that have joined our bodies through sin is the only way. It only takes a small sin for a demonic spirit to enter our bodies and that demon can wreak havoc in our lives so it needs to be cast out and we need to close off our actions from any sin. Prayer, fasting, reading the word and speaking life unto ourselves will rid our lives of demonic forces. Speaking life unto ourselves means watching what we say because the tongue is a powerful force. We can speak blessings & curses unto ourselves without knowing it. Despite how we feel, even if it's a small headache, we're to say that we're healed in Christ name and act like it. If the pain is severe, and we take a pain pill, still say that. That model should be used in every area of our lives. If we see a huge bill, we should say that all my needs are met according to God's riches in heaven. If a relationship is failing, we should take it to God in prayer and when done, walk away thanking God that it is done and act like it. The acting out in every circumstance if referred to as FAITH. Faith without works is dead. The evidence of faith is already in the atmosphere but in order to receive that evidence is acting as though the mountain has been removed. A true believer who practices these things are actually content though they may not be rich in material things, they are rich in spirit and they cast off evil in Christ name rebuking anything that attacks our flesh. Just as we feed our bodies with food, we're to also feed our spirits with the word of God. Starving the spirit is a dangerous thing because without fasting, room is left for demonic forces to have their way. There's all types of fasting. We can refrain from food & water for a day or several days. One can fast from sweets or meats or whatever their favorite food is. The more often the better. Christ fasted for 40 days and didn't die. God kept Him alive because of His fast. Now those who are taking medicine and need to eat & drink should consult a doctor before fasting. Take the medical situation to Christ who is the captain of our salvation and lay it at His feet. Walk away as if you're already healed and act like it. Despite how you feel, refrain from saying how you feel, instead say the opposite or at least say nothing at all. God bless.

So a question on wine. I prefer wine and take wine in the Lord’s Supper when it’s an option, but otherwise don’t drink it, as I don’t enjoy drinking it. However, what about people who physically get sick when they drink wine, even a little bit? I know people who are affected that way.

It was probably gout. Gout can lead to other complications that can be fatal if not treated properly.
