Touch is your approach to the piano. Ideally that should be taught along with reading notes and rhythm at the beginning.

1974 script version, ok, by Williams. Was 'bout to pan the dialog on the thought liberties was taken on the original play script. But learning that Tennessee updated the scrpt to comform to 1970s playwright aesthetics style, I stand seriously corrected! Ya gotta change with the changed times.....as time marches on!

Hello. I'm Japanese. The musical "Violet" is being performed in Japan now. When I was searching, I found this video. The wonderful music and singing voice have the same impression even if the language is different.❤

Fabulous! I always wondered what this play was about cos I love the title. I had just listened to this exact performance on the radio archives and then went straight onto KZbin to find this - scintillating stuff! And so funny. Thanks for putting this up Kathryn - your performance was knockout!

Hey, thanks for this. While the movies are accessible, a true-to-text play is not so easy to find. Plays are meant to be performed and seen, as I'm sure my HS English classes would agree.

One of the hardest Sondheim songs to sing...done very well.
@KathrynParks Жыл бұрын
Thank you! That means a lot. I also sang “not getting married today” in this Production and millers son was harder. I think it’s mostly the lyrics, which can easily trip you up. Because they’re not all logical and it’s the most focused onstage I think I’ve ever been! You are singing one line and constantly thinking of what’s next. Anyhow, I love miller’s son!

I am in rehearsals for Night Music right now...playing Mme. Arrnfeldt. It's tongue-twisting scary, even rehearsing in my living room...let alone when I'm wrestling with costumes and the lights come up. Best wishes on your professional journey.
