I am a bit confused by what you said. To clarify, is Dolby Vision Cinema Home more similar to HDR Cinema with DTM or HDR Cinema Home with DTM? The difference between HDR Cinema and Cinema Home is a bit tricky to spot especially now that tone mapping settings change the scene gradually and not instantly when you switch between modes.

hi classy...first of all, huge praise for your channel...very informative...when an HDR signal is present and you go from static to active and back to static again, the tone curve for static is raised so that the highlights become a little brighter ...you can find out in the xbox hdr settings menu that at 1400 nits the test image disappears completely, which is the maximum nits number of the s95c... you don't need to go to 2000 nits... check that out... thanks and keep it up

How can you mitigate the black crush on the S90D? It seems to crush blacks substantially regardless of settings or calibration. Some have claimed this goes away after 50 to 100 hours of usage, do you have any insights on this?

Question Classy, are the VESA 300 x 300 in the same low position on the rear panel for the 77" version, or are they raised further up due to the option of placing the stand legs more central? Turns out you answered this at around 2:20 into the video, thanks. For me, this lower position is beneficial due to a floating oak mantel piece I have on the wall below. Unfortunately the LG G4 77" isn't an option for me due to the VESA holes being too high, this pushing the screen further down the wall. Thumbs up and a subscribe from me for this information.

But not everyone can afford between $1,500 for a 55-inch and $5,000 for an 85-inch, yet are more than willing to pay for something better than the Bravia 3. While the Hisense U8N and TCL 2024 QM8 are within that price range between $1,000 for 55-inch and $2,000 for an 85-inch, they focus more on brightness and black levels alone than accuracy. While the Sony X90L holds back on the brightness, it makes up for it in accuracy at U8N and QM8 prices. I own the 85-inch Costco variant, the X90CL. Here are my negative and positive experiences with it. Whether playing SDR/Rec.709 Blu-rays and DVDs or 4K UHD Blu-rays mastered in HDR10 and Dolby Vision, white has a touch of red, pink, or majenta in it as opposed to the pure white of midday summer sunlight and winter snow. When playing SDR/Rec.709 Blu-rays and DVDs, red, majenta, cyan, and green appear undersaturated and blue has a touch of green in it. When playing 4K UHD Blu-ray discs mastered in HDR10 and Dolby Vision, red, majenta, blue, cyan, and green look fantastic. I am having trouble determining how I feel about its yellow output across various formats. Are there any plans to do some work on the Sony X90L, especially being that it's Sony's only 98-inch option at this time? If not, other than the fact that the X95L uses mini LED backlighting and the X90L uses standard full-array local dimming, does the X95L have the same issues I'm experiencing with my X90CL before applying your settings?
