Door een artikel in de Telegraaf werd ik getriggerd en kwam dit filmpje tegen, nu blijkt dat er reeds een paar jaar aan gewerkt wordt. Prachtig, voor mij is de panfluit zeker niet oubollig, en gemaakt van metaal geeft het nieuwe dimensies.

Hi Luis, sounds fantastic..I'm curious if that bass was purchased from Tom Martins shop? It way have been owned by John Schaeffer of the New York Philharmonic who was my teacher and I have played that bass often..

Hello! It is right that this bass was previously played by John Schaeffer and after him by Leon Bosch. The Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation (NMF) purchased the instrument in 2018. How wonderful you know the bass so well!

I assume the 2 extra notes are strung with 7C strings and that that's why they're red, due to the fact that special wires of proper gauges likely don't yet exist for those notes. I'm wondering if anyone has considered at least using Lyon and Healy's Bronze wires for those 2 extra notes so that they're not the same color as the C.?

Wij weten dat Monteverdi een houten orgel prefereerde voor zijn Mariavespers die in de (enorme) San Marco in Venetië werden uitgevoerd. Dit orgel heeft inmiddels in kleine en grote ruimtes geklonken en natuurlijk was dat spannend. We kunnen u verzekeren dat zangers en spelers unaniem waren in hun enthousiasme over draagkracht en duidelijkheid!

You are absolutely right! Even without touching the two extra strings, having those two influences the total sound (more powerful, more projection). I think Remy uses the strings in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4DHcpKfm9qlb6s
