Amazing I saw a chap on a walk who was doing. I’m a brand / graphic designer and I’ve truly never seen such a clever brand, sign me up, and my dog ( if she’s ready) She helped me through physical and mental illness.

This would be ideal for my Nan. A retired nurse with replacement knees. So can’t walk well now. Used to run an old persons home with my Grandad. Hope they have facility to donate for private visits. Absolutely loves dogs… closest she got is the foxes she feeds every night. Must be stuff near Worthing where relatives can even donate. Absolutely genius idea for everyone. I say give double tax breaks Starmer… it is what Nye Bevan would have done!

I have been working with my GSD hoping she will pass an assessment as a PAT dog. I think she is nearly ready for me to apply but I recently heard that there might not be an assessor in the Devon area?

Not keen on this idea. I think the likes of care homes etc would be better suited

There is a Podcast about PET dogs in Prisons, the animal's needs come first, and obviously the staff {Who own the dogs} know the individual inmates..It seems to be a success.

The amount of dogs out there with no homes dying and being abused where they could just give them to prisoners to look after it will probably make prison less depressing

i was a prisoner in there for a few years in like 2011 onwards, it's a nice idea as dogs are calming but it's only a matter of time until some one harms a dog.

Well.. according to the PAT criteria dogs should walk on a loose leash..

I once had a 9 foot crocodile and an 8 foot Grizzly bear as pets. That wasn't comforting. It was a fu*king nightmare.

What about the brilliant work done by PAT cats? They tend to be forgotten about. My cat is a PAT cat and brings much happiness to a Care home and a children's hospice.
