No other guitar can match a Martin for powerful lows, but in all other respects, the Crafter acquits itself quite nicely.

Great song from Phil Keaggy. Check out his early work with band Glass Harp. They had 3 or 4 albums that are all very good. They were out of my hometown of Youngstown Ohio! Nice job Ed.

Thanks for your comment! I have enjoyed Phil Keaggy’s music for over 50 years, I had collected many vinyl albums including two of the glass Harp albums you had mentioned he certainly was a gift to us all! I remember hearing a story when they opened for Grand Funk Railroad and the crowd wanted Glass Harp back to play for the encore.
@rickmckee57374 ай бұрын
I saw Glass Harp open for Cactus, then Grand Funk in Canton. You’re right the locals wanted more Glass Harp! In the early Glass Harp days they did lots of Beatles covers. Keagan could sing just like McCartney. He even looked a bit like him!

@@MrGibbyguy interesting story... I was looking for an acoustic and I played maybe 2 dozen guitars at several places...one martin into me sounded special... And I said "I want this guitar" dude said "I'll grab you a new one in back" I said "NO I want THIS guitar" so I took the floor model. It still to this day sounds incredibly chimey, something about Martins... Very inexpensive but sounded better than some $5k guitars I played.

When you strum a chord on the Martin it sounds like one note but when you strum a chord on the Crafter it sounds like six individual notes to my ears..
@MrGibbyguy6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your observation, I hadn’t noticed this till I read your comment, I believe the overtones on Martin become more dominate when being strummed other than finger picked. The Crafter has less overtones so the individual strings are more noticeable.
